This was the game where I got the first actual 3d video card (passthrough - where you still needed a “regular” video card)
Edit -
I had a Pentium “overdrive” 83 MHz that fit in the 486 socket (before I started building my own):

I’m pretty sure the first CD-Rom game I had was a version of SIM city.
I also remember a CD version of need for speed too, I was obsessed with it because of the music lol

If we’re talking pc
I vaguely remember these series of games where it was like Around the World in 80 Days or Peter Pan. You had options like a pencil, an eraser. Ugh I only remember those two and you could use them to cross an obstacle. Very point and click. I can’t for the life of me remember the name of this series. The tools you had were alive so they had stuff like googly eyes.
Uuuuuuuuuuuhh… Any of the maxis games bakc in the mid 90’s. Simcity 2000 i think.
That I owned or growing up and having my
Parents buy me games? I wanna say it was Warcraft 3.
First floppy disc for me was some Star Wars game. I dont even remember
the exact title. Just remember that it was all text describing where you were
and what you were doing.
Probably sewer shark sega cd
My first CD-ROM game I would say was Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis because Indy would actually talk in that game.
I had the 3DO as well, used to play gex, road rash and wing commander on it
First floppy disc game was most likely bird vs dr. j, first one I remember buying was either lands of lore or kings bounty.
Now those I can remember. Sid Meier’s Pirates!, Starflight, and Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego.
Only game in that series I didn’t get that into, just couldn’t do the saber combat in that one.
It’s kinda amazing where some of those shareware companies are now, Like Epic Megagames, and what was then In Demand software.

Mine was MYST, loved the mystery of that game and the exploration.
Remember “Math Blasters”? The cheesy doo da doo doo da doo da da doo doo delidlee da lee diddle lee lee tune? I still remember that. I believe it was actually a 16 bit rendition of part of Moonlight Senata but I’m not 100% on that.
Not sure if I had that one, but did have a few of those style games
My first CD-Rom game for PC was The Sims… (A child) LOL
My first game for a computer was actually on a floppy disk. My first game was Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego for the Macintosh II Classic!

My first ever computer games were the original Doom, Warcraft 1, Starcraft, Diablo to name a few. Good times.
Probably wing commander 3 or MechWarrior 2
Most of the games I played before then were on floppies as well.
