I used to hate that place but after Dark Irons came out, it grew on me
Darnassus
Ironforge
Suramar
Ironforge. Loved in WoW and a lot of other games being able to go underground and seeing (or reading) the cities of the Dwarves or other civilizations. Wish Ironforge was bigger but is my favorite city.
Gundargaz. Very tiny to what it should have been. Being the mining/work city of the Earthen it should have been bigger. But it hints at how deep (no pun intended) the Earthen can go and how deep it may still further go.
Unknown Goblin Vacation resort in Feralas. Donāt know what Blizzard had in mind for it but all the interaction you have with it is a rare encounter fight to get a camel mount. This one is located in northern Feralas and there is another down south as well. A lot of areas that Blizzard abandoned and I have a wonder as to what they originally planned before abandoning it.
- Suramar
- Stormwind (The music and vista when you walk in for the first time cannot be beat)
- Goldshire >.>
Honorable mentions include Boralus, Mereldar, and Warlords Shattrath.
Dalaran is upper middling at best. Points for floating, but itās nothing more than a small square. You all just like it for its conveniently located amenities which, while fair enough, doesnāt make it great.
Shatrath - felt inclusive, good location
Boralus - had a solid layout
Stormwind - easy to navigate. Clearly laid out. Its expansion has made it a little more messy but i canāt complain
Valdrakken, Thunderbluff and Orgrimmar (pre cata)
ao ur saying im busy trolling on this post? yeah ok
I mean either trolling or unable to read the ask.
Thunder Bluff
Ironforge
Orgrimmar (Vanilla version)
#1 Undercity - Itās beautiful in an undead way. Likeā¦it fits their vibe so accurately lol
#2 Gilneas - LOVE the gothic vibe from thereā¦wish it was an actual visitable city. i would 10/10 set my hearthstone there when i am on ally.
#3 Echo isles - GOSH. when i first went horde YEARS agoā¦i loved chillin there with the drums, and the aesthetic. Troll vibes were so cool. Volājin was SO COOL!
EDIT: Special mention - Mulgoreā¦My god. The plains feel to it. so open. so free. just running from end to end doing the starting zone stuff. Itās beautiful.
Menethil Harbor.
Teldrassil
Silvermoon. Only because the Alliance wants it.
Silvermoon - so much wasted potential, hopefully this is fixed in Midnight when we can fly over that area, because of the sweeping designs thatās gonna be the new horde hangout at the very least for the elves of the Horde.
Suramar - another place wasted potential, absolutely beautiful city and a place you could get lost w/out a game map
Dazaralor - wonderfully designed and gives a feeling of greatness and being bigger and mysterious kind of like a real city
Definitely Suramar. I imagine if my characters live long enough to retire this is where they would retire. I could also see them getting heavily involved in finding a way to grow more arcanādors to help with the additions and the Falādorei (spider people).
Legion Dalaran was easy to get around and it hovered. Hard to beat that.
Valdrakken eventually grew on me as a central hub, much the same way that Dornogal is growing on me. They are visually striking, reasonably convenient to get around and I love the way Blizz has NPCs interacting with each other to make it seem like it is a living city.
In no particular order: Silvermoon, Orgrimmar, Undercity
lotsa honorable mentions but those came to mind first
Top favorite is Thunder Bluff, followed by Stormwind, then last would probably be Revendreth if you can count that.
Ironforge (by a huge margin)
Shatt
Gilneas
And none of those zones have cities in them lol.
1: Suramar
2: Thunderbluff
3: Under city
Honorable mentions: Dalaran, but only because of the roleplay I had there. Dazzalor is beautiful, Silver Moon is beautiful but needs updating, coming soon to midnight.
Worst city: Oribos. Air port looking and ugly. Everything is the same color and boring designā¦
Vanilla era IF was the best. Wrath era Dalaran was a close second. Nostalgia is a factor here but just the whole feel and ambience of those two cities at those times will never be matched again. No matter how big and detailed they make cities now they just feel lifeless without the masses of players filling them up.
I see Undercity listed often. I used to love that city as my first character was an undead but over time, for some reason it just got annoying.
boralus
