Thunder Bluff
It’s iconic, easy to navigate, and has some truly lovely music and areas with exceptional ambience. The idea of a city built atop giant mesas overlooking a massive green grassland…I mean, come on. It’s beautiful.

I post my Horde-side bank alts in Thunder Bluff just so that I can spend time in that atmosphere regularly.

Boralus
I mean, if you haven’t gone to Boralus and just walked around that city…do it sometime. It’s incredible. It is a literal city with different districts and neighborhoods and shops all over the place that people never saw or knew about if they didn’t purposefully explore the entire city.

Boralus was and remains one of the most impressive and well-designed areas that has ever been placed in WoW.

Dalaran
Dalaran was the first expansion hub city that I actually enjoyed. I loved Dalaran from day one and I still do - both the Wrath and Legion iterations of it.

Dalaran had everything you could possibly need (except an AH for non-engineers), and the look of it fits with the idea of a magical city. Some of the best fun I ever had in WoW happened during an expansion when we could run laps around Dalaran. The sewer level in Wrath and the class halls, special quests, and fishing area in Legion…man, that city is just one of the best ideas they ever had.

So yeah…Dalaran.

I played Horde for quite a long time because of my love of Thunder Bluff. I love the music and Tauren culture.

  1. Ironforge in vanilla, when it was heavily populated and vibrant with players.
  2. Telredor (comfiest little village in the world).
  3. Suramar, the spider city in TWW doesn’t even come close.

Suramar is great unless you’re a tauren.

For me, Valdrakken. I love that place. It was homey, lovely, had everything you needed plus some.

I really liked it and still do. I wish we had a Valdrakken kind of place in TWW Dorn but we don’t.
Oh well.

  • Honourable mention to Thunder Bluff. I love that place but TB is especially fun if you wpvp. hahhaa

Suramar above all, it’s Blizzard’s crowning glory. Should be a phased neutral city with portals to everywhere once you’ve completed the campaign.

Starting in Wrath, Dalaran was of course the place to be back in the day, at least until Jaina went berserk and started killing the Sunreavers.

And lastly, Teldrassil was actually quite pleasant though under utilized and now, well… yea…

if you hadn’t been so busy trolling the OP you would’ve realized, they said cities and not zones.

My top three would be Ironforge, Dalaran, and Quel’danas
