Your Servers Are Crap and Guilds Are Dying Because of It

Yes, yes you are. Your posts I’ve seen in other threads are a rather pathetic form of white knighting, and no, I’m not interested in “having a conversation” with someone who has no idea what they’re even talking about.

Keep on chuggin’ that copium.

My Son and I live in a non cable rural area We raid/play with less than optimum latency and high ping {Very stable tho compared to Satellite} 3.2 MBPS 26 ping at local hub

We can tell when the lag spikes hits latency is good 80/80 W/H 32 ping but were getting hang time/delay on spell/shot casts .
But for me at least I am used to it seems normal even allows some lag specific exploits {double Ice lance procs Full tame on Escaped Wilderling with 3-4 buttonmashes}.

But lemme tell ya when Both Blizz lag and Provider lag flare up together due to traffic load Our healer in last nights Mists 15 M+ was laughing his bum off and out DPS’ing us both Cost us the on time completion we were 9 seconds over.

We started Mythic Painsmith progression this week, and though it hasn’t been super bad overall, a lot of the Ember and Spiked deaths feel “off” and corpses frequently wind up inside safe areas. I straight up died in the dead center of a tile when passing the balls. It was extremely random. There’s been a lot of other deaths to the spikes when making it, and to Embers despite being outside their visual range (they really need to fix the visual edge on these, since they’re also one-shots).

We experienced the heroic Sylvanas lag pretty early on during the engage, but overall wasn’t too bad. However, it shouldn’t happen in the first place, regardless.

There is usually mild lag in open world content as well. Very irritating and a little embarrassing, considering that the game is a paid service.

Bobby’s Yacht needs better Wi-Fi and/or Sat-Link.

It’s absurd how bad this problem has become, theres at least 1 mechanic per fight that lags so hard half the time it just ends up being a wipe with nothing you can do about it. The fact that over here in OCE they even increased our sub price recently by 20% and server performance has only been significantly worse is ridiculous.

The lengths people go to just to play the game now, the top guilds here pushing world ranks were leaving their raids for 2 hours, just to get new instance servers in the hope that the new one wouldn’t lag, guilds straight up banning the use of heroism in large player count heroic raids and some guilds banning certain class spells at certain times that consistently cause lag. Honestly P2P hosted raids are probably better at this point.

Even Limit guild members are complaining about it now, servers are seriously borked, no blue acknowledgment

Spoken like someone who has zero knowledge of networking and servers.

It’s even worse on Oceanic

Yeah it seems to be getting worse. It used to be just big world pvp battles, then epic bgs were unplayable, then overcrowded zones, now it’s in raids. P1 Sire was my first time seeing it and we had to modify our strat to account for Blizzard’s servers. Now it seems like every boss is horrible during primetime raid hours.

This is an undervalued point. Wow used to be the accessible game that, like porting doom, could run on a potato, a lemon and some copper wire.

Increasing the requirements that you need a “good” machine to play it cuts off people who can’t pay covid markups for new rigs.

No its not about the PC specs or how good your internet connection is.

I have PC well equiped to run this game and my internet connection is fine (with it hovering around 50 MS).

I have experienced this during my Sylvanas attempts on my Priest and I was getting lag that wasn’t coming from my PC and or my internet, my guildies also have the same issue during their opener, again this is not about specs and your internet connection.

Maybe try doing Sylvanas and see if you have any lag or at least watch the clips?

I haven’t experienced any server-side lag in SoD since it launched.

I support you, but it’s not getting fixed. They’re pinching every single penny they can at this point. They’re not going to pay Amazon more.

We dealt with the horrible lag on Sire P1 for weeks when we were progging on it. The first 10-15s of the fight the game basically hanged and you just had to pray everyone survived. Sylvanas hangs for the first 3-5 seconds.

I’ve stopped playing and cancelled since this started (6 month sub still running though unfortunately, note to self never buy 6 month sub again). It’s just unacceptable to let server quality degrade this much for a subscription-based game, and so noticeably.

It’s not some edge case, it’s every time someone pulls the world boss in Korthia, which is often.

Yes please fix the lag. You’re a multi-billion company, invest a little and think about your playerbase.

Yeah that line tilted me.

I guess they have a point when i can’t decide if i hated Spine of Deathwing more than Sylvanas or not.
