I literally said just that. If premades are the way to do this then make them all premades!!!
And guess what, there would be a f’ing ton more of them. I would be fine with that.

Exactly, classic is more than just the ranking system
Dont like the ranking system in classic wow? Dont play it
There is a whole lot of pve content to enjoy
lol if premades get limited to 5 im gona enjoy watching alliance tears rolling down cheeks
they will never win again, and they’ll say goodbye to their hph too
They prob wouldnt even feel the difference tbh. maybe a couple minutes longer queue at some points.
There is no downside IMO.
Ya you try an take the high horse, once again
is a weak insult thrown everywhere when noone can point out an actual exploit
Premades in AV Exploit, scouting was also exploiting by premades. The people that premade want advantage not PVP. I don’t care, I get it. But acting like your the cream of the crop because you premade is just LOL
Kayberz, I love the ranking system in classic wow.
I hate premades.
Warsong Gulch and Arathi Basin are basically 90% an automatic loss.
Sounds like the game is working for the opposite team, how odd.
Because I liked Warcraft 3, and when I finish WoTLK like I never did I will be done. Tell me do you think Classic is still going to exsist in Dec? Cause I think were going to be in TBC at that point. An 90% of your player base if they have to chose is going to TBC if not more.
Yeah guys, see? Its all your fault they have to premade.
Talk about not wanting to play with pugs who don’t defend flags when all I do vs premades is run around ninja’ing undefended flags.
Good stuff.
Who said I premade? I endured the pugs to r10 and haven’t been back. I knew what to expect when I started. Give the players an in and they’ll take advantage of it. Still within the rules of the game.
Mistakenly*
A feature deemed fair by Blizzard which actually isn’t fair, and shouldn’t exist in the form that it does – which is why we’re having this conversation.
Charging huge sums of gold and real money DOLLARS to get the top premade on the server LET YOU get to rank 14 is all within the rules??
In what game is that ok??? You don’t even know whats going on apparently.
Literally a contradiction
The entire system as always revolved around premades maximizing their honor gain by ensuring victory through organization
If you remove the social team aspect of the ranking system it would become 100% about who plays the most and has better pug game RNG
With premades it makes it so that only the most dedicated and high win rate players attain high ranks
Technically yes
If you can’t beat out the top rankers yourself then you don’t get to take their spot in the brackets
If the option still exists to pre v pre the “social aspect” is retained, and it’s simply about who exerts the most effort.
No offense, but what’s so wrong with that?
I’m in favor of players wanting to form premades to maximize honor gain. I get it, I’ve done it in Vanilla up to rank 12. I don’t mind the honor system as it’s designed.
It’s not even about the honor though, some people just enjoy the gameplay and want to participate in battlegrounds and are unable to unless they join a premade group. Otherwise they’re choosing to spend their evenings playing in bg’s with outcomes already decided before the matches even start. As time goes on less and less of these players will participate and premades will be playing vs each other anyway.
I still think the best solution is to segregate the groups into separate queues and possibly give premades honor bonuses for queuing as a group so they can still hit the honor brackets they need while playing vs other premades. That way it’s still “optimal” for those players to group for max honor without compromising everyone else’s ability to enjoy battlegrounds and still gain honor/rewards albeit at a slower pace.
I don’t think many are asking for the ability to grind to R14 solo, they just want to PvP in battlegrounds.
So players CHARGING REAL WORLD MONEY to let someone in their group to get to rank 14, and otherwise blocking them from doing so isn’t against the ToS? I am quite sure it is against the rules, and the spirit, and whatever else you want to call it.
If you make premades only face premades most the games will be much longer and tougher, thus making solo queue more efficient, then when solo queue becomes better honor per hour it all comes down to who plays the most and has the best matchmaking rng
Because then its actually about being good at PVP, not stomping pugs for HPH gains. An the majority of premades won’t stand for that.
You can report them for that, OR just get more honor then them in the first place so that they cant hold those spots ransom
Thats literally what my guild did on whitemane
We are labeled as the “bracket breakers” because we took over the top brackets 2 weeks in a row because we have the best premade on the server and the people that were currently running the brackets weren’t allowing some of our members to have bracket 1 spots, so we took them, because we were better.
They couldn’t outfarm us because our win rates were higher and then after realizing we would make their life harder with higher honor caps they conceded to give us at least 4 slots
Its a competition, you aren’t entitled to win if you cant put up
