Your game is BROKEN

THAT is an opinion, I’ll even agree it’s unfair in a sense. But, there is a reason that this system has remained since it was implemented.

you drunk or what? where did I ask anything in this thread?

We have lives, want to spend weekends with families, etc.

Which is more fair for the majority of players, also it leads to 1 persons contributions to a team being more meaningful, as a good pvpers in a premade can’t really stand out camping a GY.

Thus leading to the highest skill players getting the highest rewards, rather then the guy with 14 no lifer buddies grinding for days on end, against non competitive pugs.

TBH, hearing that for the first time was alarming to me.

That level of control over something that is portrayed to be open and free to get in a video game is atrocious. And the PVP system in this game breeds things like that.

I really don’t know why people defend it, unless you’re the one benefiting from steamrolling pugs and don’t want your train derailed.

I like how the competition aspect of pvp is between rankers of the same faction and not in the actual games vs the opposite faction.

Then promote this like its good and wholesome.

Hey its social PVP! don’t paint it as a bad thing. Cause that would cover up all the “good thing” paint peopel have spent throwing on it.

This is a slippery slope fallacy.

It’s an interesting projection that has no inherent truth value. It’s possible premades would peter out, it’s also possible that they wouldn’t though, because people would prefer to have control over their team composition rather than leave it to RNG, as you say – even if the enemy team is guaranteed to be a premade.

It’s a distinction about gameplay, here, rather than a concern about hph.

What you’re honestly worried about is that pug players will be able to place higher as a result of the removal of the social barrier to entry, and that scares you because you don’t want them to break your bracket caps; and that’s because you feel as though you and yours are more important and/or worthy of rank than they are, as people who have cliques of friends.

Were you really better though? Or did you just play more?

How is this different from a model where solo players can earn honor at a rate which is competitive to those competing in premade teams?

Interesting. If the competition is between players on a faction, why does the game give them the ability to band together and make better gains in unfair contests rather than competing against each other on the ladder for position as individuals in contests which are fair?

A better gauge of skill would be to enforce solo queue on every player from that perspective.

In vanilla its both

You have to be able to beat the other factions premades and by doing that more effectively than other premades of your faction you are earning your rank on your own faction

Is it potentially toxic? Sure but thats vanilla pvp, dont like it, dont play classic pvp

just queue for AV, and win with your horde exploiting EVERYTHING.

I’m sorry I was staying on your original topic and discussing premade vs pug queing.

Someone tell me the downside of limiting the number of premades a solo player can face per day.

Tell me a downside. Premades waiting 3 extra minutes in queue? More players choosing to queue solo instead of premades?

There isn’t one. And this “change” wouldn’t do anything but help solo players and leave the rest alone.

it would also lower the overall honor EVERYONE on the server gets by a good bit. It’s all relative.

The only thing i can think of is it would create a bigger pool of mid ranked players.

We actually played LESS

The whole server basically blacklisted our guild in pvp and wouldn’t invite us into premades

The top rankers ended up raising the honor caps by like 200k more and some were account sharing (they will deny it but it was obvious by their playtime being literally impossible to sustain)

Our premade farmed honor more effectively and pretty much never lost against other premades as long as we had our full team, whereas the other premades couldn’t beat the other good alliance premades

If you were playing better, you wouldn’t be getting GY farmed, bud.

This is a classic case of “git gud.”

Except that its not both. There is no competition at the BG level were premades are concerned. And while I give full credit to those premades who fight other premades, too often one premade just packs it in so they can lose fast.

Even in some games where pugs are good enough to hold one or two bases against a premade the premade will fold like a cheap suit. Still a winnable game but they just toss it.

Again, the brain cells here are lacking. Rank 6 pug with no healers vs premade rank 12 with 3 pallies, 2 priests, 6 Field Marshals.

Someone on my team “getting good” isn’t going to do anything.

Use brain, come back later.

How do you farm honro more effective then another pug doing the same thing? Are you paying alliance to res an farm them? So many of the honor gains are static.

So you tell me how you are more effective then the only gate to honor farming is purely time.

Can’t think of one right away.

You don’t know that, dude.

shrug

lol

Welcome to my life – but I guess I’m just SoL, right?

You try winning a 1v10 at midfield because your team gave up before the game even started, then tell me to git good.

By actually winning against other premades quickly rather than being a roofmade that gives up against other premades, and having good strategies for farming kills in AB because we could actually 4 cap other premades rather than only pugs
