Your First Raid

What was the first raid you were ever a part of?

Mine was...LFR Dragon Soul lol. But it was the most epic thing I'd ever been a part of.

Share your memories newbz.
Karazhan. Damn you, Netherspite. And Illhoof.

..And Chess.
It was icc, did the first 4? Bosses. Got up to Saurfang jr.

Didn’t know what was going on but it was fun.
Karazhan. Only raid I did in BC, and never made it past Opera Event while it was current.

First I finished while current was either Sarathon (no drakes) or Malygos; can't remember which I did first.
the first pug i ever took part in was Throne of the Four winds, i joined early cata and was still pretty horribly geared but the guild i was in offered to drag me and my equally under geared friend along. I still remember wiping a ton at al'akir and having no idea what i was doing lol.
UBRS in the original game. Was fun, but I much prefer to run raids alone long after they are current these days.
It was the LK himself. I didn't know what the hell I was doing since I'd never did a raid.
Wrath Naxx was the first end game raid I did. Though MC was the first raid I ever stepped into.
Karazhan back in BC. It was a guild run, but we never made it past the first boss. I didn't raid again until Wrath.
They pulled my fairly fresh level 60 Mage into a Ragnaros kill, mainly as a vending machine and an additional portal person. I will never forget that awesome 2fps when the pull happened. I think I died about 10 seconds in.

Another thing I don’t miss from the old game. So much action that the screen freezes up and you have no idea what is going on until the “release spirit” button pops up.
My wow claim to fame was the NA first Majordomo kill in MC. I think we were Rag 4th or something.

So true. 40 man raids were epicness incarnate, but if you were playing on a potato you turned all your settings waaaay down or you were basically screwed. XD
I've never raided before
First raid was molten core. Second was Zul Gurub. I still remember my raid leader yelling and using dkp to determine loot. I raided a lot and never got a piece of loot from MC. Got an item from ZG though.
Lfr Dragon soul as well lol but I would rather consider Soo normal was my real first raid
Kara. I tanked on my pally. The good old days of being block capped and using intelligence gear. :)
Molten Core. I was kind of lucky, as our guild(s) had put up a ranked preference list of drops from the bosses, and my #1 item dropped from the first boss (Lucifron), which was the Choker of Enlightenment.

It used to really take a lot of organisation to get 40 warm bodies coordinated back then.
Molten Core. I was a total noob playing a Resto Druid. I was clicking my spells and went OOM in about 30 seconds because I didnt know about down ranking spells.

I did get 3 Cenarion pieces on my first run though because the guild I joined already had geared Druids.

Was a pretty memorable first raid that's for sure.
First aid I did was Zul'gurub followed by Molten Core on the same week.

Still remember the countless farming Bijou farming with friends back in the day and selling the Bijous helped me pay 1000 gold for Epic mount riding :)
