For those who aren’t having a good time in this new phase, I hear you and I agree. This new phase is absolutely garbage, and is not fun (both on the winning or the losing side). However, nearly no one will listen to you, no matter how reasonable, no matter how impassioned your take is. The equation is really simple for them: vanilla wow was perfect, and everything after sucks.
So, the only thing you have is to leave the PvP servers. I honestly wish I never rolled on them, but my friends and brother talked it up sooo much, so I thought ‘what the hell!’ I’ll be looking to restart on non-pvp or waiting for transfers, but just know that no one here will have an ounce of sympathy for you, and the only thing they will care about is server populations. Vote with your feet, if you’re not having a good time, I recommend hitting the exit.
I personally don’t like this wpvp phase. Guess what? I’m just not playing it. But, there are many who enjoy it. Why take these short few months away from them? Let them have their fun. When bgs open up, things will go back to normal.
Just because I don’t like it, doesn’t mean it should be changed to fit my playstyle.
I’m not so sure that they will fall on deaf ears. I don’t suspect that Blizzard will respond to any of these posts but I do expect them to react to these issues.
I dont think it is so much the WPVP itself, but that some servers
do not have a good balance of faction population.
If each one had a balance closer to a 50/50 split, i dont think there would be near as many unhappy.
I also agree that it is not necessarily deaf ears, even if there is no banter of blue text.
I would not be surprized if there was not perhaps some change to the time table of BG’s or something if things do not even out
No. The equation is that Classic is supposed to be Vanilla WoW and you take the good with the bad and ugly.
Yeah Vanilla servers never had populations anywhere near this and its created very unique problems due to these populations with farmed loot and economy. The idea of hundreds pvping in 2 zones made sense. The idea of hundreds pvping in ALL ZONES with almost a thousand PvPing in BRM/Gorge/Steppes (combined) is kinda ridiculous.
Combine that with Vanilla mindset choosing factions then playing rather than modern mindset of picking the faction/race with the strongest PvP racials. This caused ALL of the pvp servers to average 2:1 horde to alliance ratios and when you combine it with the overpopulated realms its definitely where the situation becomes unique to classic and nothing like Vanilla.
People on PvE servers have been virtue signalling this forever. The real solution is to avoid raid PvP unless you wanna TM/SS.
If you wanna get honor, stick to 2-5 man groups and snipe people in other zones. Also keep moving, don’t stick to the same area after you kill enough people, they’ll flood it with dozens of ants after crying to LFG chat and flying in.
Rejoice sons and daughters of the horde. Form raids and camp these pesky alliance in flight paths and graveyards. You deserve your rank 14 gear before BWL and bgs are released.
.we salute you brave alliance players allowing us horde to humbly farm you. We promise to let some of you hit rank 14 when bgs hit and it’s phase 6.
What are you talking about? Did you even bother to read the original post? I blatantly stated that I made a huge mistake, and the consequence for that is that I might HAVE TO START ALL OVER AGAIN. Freely understood, and admitted.
Maybe you should take your own advice, and like a grown up, read what is written before you start to regurgitate your preconceived gibberish.
There is no solution that everyone will like. No, leaving isn’t the best solution. The best solution you don’t want to hear. Play on a server that fits you. If you can’t handle pvp, pve server options are out there. It’s just for me, leaving was the best option.
I, and I’m sure many others, sympathize but there’s really nothing we can do. All I care about in a game is having fun and I hope everyone is having fun. I’d have no problem if blizz gave anyone who decided they didn’t like pvp a free one time transfer to a pve server. But that’s probably not going to happen.
kind of funny the only people defending the state of the current game are Horde players, more than likely playing on a server like mine where horde are 76% of the population.
Easy to defend something when you are not the one being corpse camped for an hour straight…
