Pretty straight forward, but people are broken up into two camps it seems- ones that want megaservers that are 100% their faction, and the rest of us normal people that want a balanced server (ideally no more than a 45/55 split).
The reason myself, my friends, and my old guild moved to Grobbulus is because ironforge.pro had it as one of the last (if not only) balanced pvp servers.
Make faction population a viewable metric to regular gamers and you’ll probably see people be more likely to transfer, because it becomes more of an informed decision instead of a blind leap of “Welp hope I’m not moving to a horde megaserver just to play a game I’ve been paying for for years”.
I was on whitemane when it was 98% horde, and as an alliance player let me tell you- it’s not super fun.

Another piece of common sense that can’t seem to find a home in their brains

Theu need to just connect the realms so transferring doesnt put people in silos and then it would actually work

I imagine that is a vast undertaking for the current architecture of WOTLK, so you need to focus more on a reasonable and attainable goal.
Transparent faction can be derived from some fairly simple SQL queries, I presume.
Maybe im in the minority but as horde I literally could not care less how many alliance are on my server. There is no cross play between factions, they are basically npcs I cant interact with
Realistically it only needs to be done for the overpopulated realms and the rest could be done whenever. It would simply be better for the game in general too

You’re definitely in the minority.
I dont think so, almost no one cares about world pvp

This is the last time I reply to you, your opinions are inane and your comments unhelpful.
Good day.

The population of Grobbulus would disagree.

Lol ok then? I mean its a factual statement that world pvp really is a small niche community. Flying mounts exist, so wpvp is basically non existant

Oh cool, one dude speaking for one server vs. the entire history of wow and classic wow
No one wants to move to a dead realm or a realm where they are the super minority faction (we lived thru this on Earthfury). They could easily change the words “Full” or “High” with bars for population. One red and one blue. It doesn’t give away their precious numbers but it lets the population make informed decisions on where they want to move.

wpvp is not the only aspect impacted by servers dominated by one-sided factions.
economics become an issue.
the auction house becomes an issue.
This game wasn’t designed to be played by a single faction.
Much like the other troll, this will be the last time I reply to you. Good day.
There are 2 issues that stop me from tramsfering. 1 is the faction balance. The 3nd is not being able to transfer guild banks.

idk Blizz person checked faction balance on Sulfuras just to prove a point in a forum thread as they can tell the faction balance and plan on shutting down Xfers soon as they are hitting the pop cap, and have a good faction balance. So they very much can easily see the faction balance, so it shouldn’t take much more to have that information displayed to the public.

How do factions effect the economy? And you just ignore anyone that has a different PoV?
Huh, I had no idea you couldn’t transfer guild banks. That’s wild.
How does the ah become affected? No competition for mats?
