You think you want it but you don't

Y’all should of listened to that one guy

I have no doubt they wanted classic. However I don’t think everyone thought through what would happen when honor was released.

Simply put, people aren’t smart. They hear “we’re recreating Vanilla WoW” and their brain somehow justifies that this means the community itself will be recreated, complete with general ignorance of game mechanics and inability to foresee future patches/content. That’s the players’ fault for inserting that assumption on Blizzard and what Classic would be.

To a degree, that’s what the “you think you do, but you don’t” response touches on. You can’t un-ring the bell of collective knowledge and experience of the player base.

What are most of the complaints on the forums? The inability to play on PvP servers, that’s what. This is exacerbated by packed realms with 10x the authentic pop.

This is like giving someone a bowl of soup when they ask for a cookie and saying, “Guess you didn’t want that cookie after all did you?” when they don’t like the soup.

Its more like giving them a 55 gallon drum of soup and dropping it into their doorway where they cant get into their house lol.

I think most people were drunk with nostalgia. Remembering all the good times. Then again there’s a good amount of people who didn’t play vanilla and they’re not liking the current state the game is in. For those saying they’re quitting because of world pvp I suggest please hang in there until BGs come out.

That phrase is in context of wanting a vanilla experience.

This is not a vanilla experience.

That is definitely more accurate.

People signed up for PvP. They didn’t sign up for roving bands of murder hobos camping leveling areas and flight paths thus making leveling and Dungeons/Raiding a virtual impossibility.

To pretend that’s what people signed up for is disingenuous at best and intentionally ignorant at worst.

Only on Gankfest Servers. If you play your cards right and roll PvE Servers, Phase 2 is just another day.

I definitely agree that’s obnoxious and shouldn’t be allowed, but the fact that it is and has been before Blizz eliminated them, entirely for Retail, completely turns me off from Gankfest Servers.

Only those of us who played vanilla truly know what it was really like. People play on private servers or watch old vanilla pvp videos and think they know lol

Yep should have listened to all the private server kiddies who told us it would be this way. I get the world pvp and Im about it. Had a blast for a few days. Just gets old when you put up a fight, and every single time in 5 min met with a group of 30+ formed just to destroy and camp us till its not worth it anymore lol. There are servers where its 70/30 Ally dominant which is Heartseeker. If horde would stop being babies and actually take the transfer like me and friends did from skeram we would stomp all these ally LOL

lmao… they didn’t and now we get their tasty tears.

Bow before the Mighty Horde Empire you Alliance peasants!

Honestly, i really should’ve,
Classic is just too boring.

PvP lagfest onesided to horde which are same thing you get in warmode in any US server.
People keep speaking about class unique yet makes everythign to homogenize them abusing potions and engineering. Profesisons are kinda bad too literally there are two items worth doing as LW and is way more effective to grind mats and sell them than it is to simply craft them atm.
Rotations are basically making sure you auto attack as fast as possible as melle and caster is 1 button spam.
Months to get minor upgrades doing raids regularly lets not forget about the whole loot dramas.
Hunters are bugged to this day.
Only 3 bgs will be avaible, WSG which people gonna abuse hard the safe spotting, AB which will takes longer to release and AV on which the version they launching is even worse than the retail AV.

It’s somewhat fascinating (and a teensy bit gratifying) how prophetic JAB’s “You think you do” statement is turning out to be.

I love it.

BG’s are being withheld for superficial nostalgia reasons that non of us asked for. We just wanted classic. Give us BG’s. As if I joined WoW just before AQ 40, I had BGs. Just remove the vendor thus the loot…I’m a genius.

That was pretty funny

I’m enjoying classic so much. I think I did, and oh look I do.

Yes the players wanted Classic.
Yes the players wanted in phases.
But the players were just looking at the PvE side (dungeons and raids) of the phases not the PvP side.
Only the PvPer’s look at the PvP phases and was happy.

No, we’re getting what we wanted (sort of). It’s the “community” that came along with it that’s up for debate. Whether that’s good or bad is up to the individual to decide.
