Seems like he was right all along.
Is classic dead?
Yeah Blizzard, put a mount store and a boost on classic wow, it will work really well the players will love it!
More context is required.
Plus Blizzard isn’t in much of a position to be giving anyone lectures these days.
Classic is deader than dead. And to be fair, I was actually enjoying classic, but because i wasnt in some rush to end game and burning out I cant play the game now.
and why do people care so much about a store mount. Just dont buy it.

It is dead. What does not buying it have to do with it being dead? Would it be dead if people actually wanted to play it?
What did people honestly think would happen?
Endless leveling of new alts? Constant fresh servers to repeat the grind? The game evolving towards more of an online social experience?
They literally killed the servers themselves by forcing people to either switch their characters to TBC or pay real money for a character copy.
People not rushing to end game and completing everything they could want to do in about a month.
The complete collapse of being able to play the game for anyone who didn’t rush to the end.
To be fair, I’m not even talking about TCB. The game was dead before TCB was released.
Fair, I don’t know how TBC is doing tbh. I was so hyped and excited for it but then they added in the character boost / store mount and I didn’t even bother installing it.
But forcing people to choose between classic or TBC was honestly a numbnut move.
The whole back in my day story of the “I played in Vanilla” fell apart also. Showed how much of a joke it was when information was out there for everyone to understand everything. Unlike the old days on a dial-up modem and no wowhead.
Why does this matter? Otherwise the game is exactly the same.
I don’t follow your criticism. The game was different and had a different set of challenges. It’s comparing apples to oranges.
Vanilla or TBC? Because I’m on TBC Classic and Bloodsail Buccaneers server is very active. You can make a character and see people everywhere.
Why care? The people who boosted are top level and not hurting anyone. Those who prefer to level are still doing it. At least on my server.
The challenge being nobody knew what they were doing and lack of super easy to navigate sites like WoWhead with a ton of guides.
Classic. I’m not terribly interested in TBC. And my point stands because after a few months, Classic was pretty much dead. Why would a game that people wanted to play be dead?
Apparently people didn’t want what they thought they wanted. I find that ironic given all the backlash Blizzard got for suggesting that might be the case.
I see plenty of guilds ready for new raids tonight idk what you are talking about
