Meh, i at least know from the beginning that i am not going to be able to get the same raid gear as raiders, and that is fine. Because i do not raid.
But the achievement stated you just had to clear the fated raids for shadowlands season 4. And LFR has a fated raid option with 265-272 ilvl drop gear.
At least we all know we cannot get gear. But i honestly thought that i would be able to get a gooey saber on LFR. I did not take it with a grain of salt unfortunately, that it could change 2 seconds before the season 4 of shadowlands started to require normal mode fated raiders only in the tagline of the achievement. So i guess shame on me. Will remember next time when a large portion of the playerbase got deceived and shafted.
Would have been fine to be let down early. Being let down late is annoying. I think it is implied that raiding is hard, and that you need to not stink to get it. But blizzard worded this particular achievement the way they did for so long that made it seem even the casual LFR players would be able to get the gooey saber. Now they cannot.
I donât think anyone should get gear they did not rightfully earn. But a mount that everyone was lead and baited to believing they should and would be able to get it. Everyone should get it then. Donât change the wording of the achievement to normal mode raiders only at the last minute. Complete bullcorn.
No one felt that being a a casual player was going to net you elitist raid gear. It was always implied that you had to be good at the game. Straight from the manual from what i remember back then. Then you just have this bullcorn where alot of people thought it would be easy to get a slime saber, but then told it wasnât easy anymore at the last minute. Been on the game since shadowlands season 4 worded the way it has been currently. It is only now that it is being changed to normal mode only. I honestly can understand and expected the reactions to the large social experiment going on here.
And the stupid requirements the elitists are going to use just so the LFR players are again kept down how about must have aotc or ce what about a certain raider io thing the elitists are going to do everything they can to prevent LFR from having their shiny.
I dont care what content I do, if said content I dont do has something I want, guess what Im not gonna complain on the forums that I cant get it because you CAN get it if you just do the content.
Complaining and crying about it on the general discussion forum, isnt gonna get the content done any faster then you expecting Blizzard to throw their hands up and just give it to you.
You pay $15 a month for a reason, that reason is not one source of content. If your doing ONE source of content, you shouldnât be playing this game at all
Im sorry but were 2.5 years into this expansion if you dont have at least a Normal completion of Castle Nathria or SoD by now, there is something terribly wrong, AOTC and CE no one is asking that requirement unless your trying to get into a mythic raid.
Or having a certain race class combo. Or a specific covenant class combo. The usual. Have a 2 billion ilvl to in order to raid. It just isnât worth it to any of the LFR players or casual players, or solo players anymore. When they felt they could do LFR for the fated raids as implied. It made it seem worth it to resub and shoot for it.
Now, it is like, who cares. Perhaps it will change, but if it doesnât, i will not be able to get it.
Your throwing the PvP aspect of the game as a cop out it seems, PvPers will do other content if they want the things they need to improve their gameplay, it may not be a PvP weapon. So your argument doesnât necessarily work there. Thats like saying you only do Raid Finder but expect the PvP Season Mount as a reward. See the difference?
Let me clarify, How do you think the PvPers get to max level genius? They dont do it complaining on the forums thats for sure. Ill do you one better, How do you think they gotthe legos they needed to build there pvp character? Did the memories just spawn out of no where? Or did they drop off a random player in a BG. No they went and did OTHER CONTENT
Everyone on my server is requiring both of those plus more, including the covenant class combos i mentioned, and having a super high ilvl threshold. So maybe not your server, but mine is bad. Maybe i could transfer, but i just donât see the point. To much to deal with.
It has nothing to do with server, you can do it cross realms and with any faction you want. If there is a group requiring CE for normal its going to take forever to fill.
I played classic SoM recently. Warriors in top guilds were required to rank to 14 to get the weapons. Imagine that. Playing 16+ hours a day to get weapons so you could raid a few days a week.
These guys quit shortly after due to burn out.
You should be able to just play the one aspect of the game you enjoy.
Back on topic with the mount. They originally said all difficulties. LFR is a difficultly. Blizzard is going back on their word, are they not?
Well I certainly dont see them complaining about it on the forum. Also⌠WTF does SoM have anything to do with this? the Rank 14 GM Weapons are BiS and Best in Classic until like AQ40.
Rank 14 is not an easy grind so I wouldnt be suprised they were burnt out. Your talking to a OG that did the grind in 2004, wasnât fun then, I stopped at Lieutenant Commander and called it a day.
But that doesnt mean I quit the game, I went and did other aspects of the game, and yes I enjoyed every bit of it. But do you see me complaining about a flippin mount? Im more concerned over my class in DF than I am over a mount.
Shadowlands added 172 mounts to the game.
20 are locked behind raid or pvp content.
There are mounts for every type of player in the game. Solo players have access to 140+ mounts.
When Blizz first introduced everyone to the slime kitty, they stated it would require normal mode. (Mmo champ s4 page, S4 intro thread on these forums. Cant post links)

What people are argueing about is what the achievment said vs actually reading what blizzaed said in the intro post.
Yeah there is an LFR fated raid difficulty is there not?
It doesnât say ânormal and aboveâ.
This is like a restaurant saying âKids eat free todayâ and then folks showing up and they say âoh we messed up, kids eat free if you spend $20.â
You donât change things last minute if they werenât spelled out properly.
If there was a RF meta achievement it would be Raid Finder: Fates of the Shadowlands Raids
Blizzard said NOTHING about Raid Finder being part of it the reward, everyone ASSUMED they said something about it, so everyone is all piss n vinegar over something that actually never existed to begin with.
