Blizzards plan was to trick people into subbing right before S4 by dangling a mount infront of them.
Once they hit their sub numbers they conveniently changed it to Normal or above difficulty so they can drive token sales from the players that wasted their money subbing due to being tricked.
LFR players should just boycott the entire expansion if the change isn’t reverted.
Instead of clearing heroic this tier my guild will probably pump out normal run sales and then unsub and save the gold for DF.

Before its available is way to late?
I mean that they are making the change to the wording to late. This whole time, the achievement implied you could do it on LFR. Now, you cannot. And they waited to late to change it suddenly to normal mode only.
It practically is available. In 2 days, you can do the achieve and get this mount. But now it requires normal mode raiding, where as before, it was just clear the raids, all the way to the PTR. Makes no sense to just change the wording at the last second. Now anyone who was planning on doing LFR. Well, who cares. Even though it was implied the whole time that they could do LFR for the achieve.

The name of the achievement is fates of the shadowlands. Can you even do a fated LFR?

Yes. LFR has a fated raid finder. Item level 265-272.

Yeah, I dont see why they cant give lfr the mount but normal should be easy to get into. It isnt the end of the world.
Not with the stupid requirements the elitist gatekeepers will put on it like must have aotc and ce also must know fights and not have died at all.
Ok so not all these are true but there are a lot of elitists who will do anything to gatekeep.

It will be a pain in the butt though for the average player, especially those who only use LFR. Or who are more solo game related, as i am. Or who never raid or generally pvp or anything like that to begin with. Or create groups.
I generally never use LFR either. End game comes down usually to the 5 mans, and the casual pvp at the most. So, my gear stinks. Will take a while to gear up to the point where i can actually do a normal mode raid competently and confidently. I just generally do not like raiding in general. And i only use LFR if there is some benefit to it.
Examples are in warlords when everyone qued up for molten core for the molten corehound mount. I think the deathwing mount was the same deal to.
Normal mode raiding will not be easy for everyone. I mean, it isn’t rocket science. But it isn’t as convenient as everyone would like for it to be either. And alot of folks probably will not bother. But it is pretty annoying. Usually if something is changed like that, it gets deleted pretty early on. Long before the hype train starts.
I mean, i can accept not getting something. But it truly seems deceitful. Looking at the achievement the whole time, and it saying clearing the fated raids for shadowlands season 4. And only yesterday, that was changed to have the normal part of the text added. Guess i won’t be getting it then.
Like, i was fine without a brutosaur. Was told i needed to get gold farming an entire year, as it would be removed soon. Not 2 days before the expansion ended, oh by the way, brutosaur is going gone in shadowlands pre patch. I also kind of knew that dungeon finder might not be in wrath classic. But man were some of us baited here.

Oh and weren’t those also from LFR I seem to remember being able to get them from it something the elitists so like to “forget”
I havent done it in 9.2 but every single patch since legion I have always taken my alts though normal without an iota of an issue.

Oh for sure. Or you have to have a specific covenant class combo. Because some covenant class combos are bad.
So not only will bullcorn like that happen, even if you have the courage to go through all those hoops, boosters will be having a field day to. I am wagering it will probably cost like 250 k for a gooey saber run. At least. Everything costs an arm and a leg in this game now it seems.
Heck, i can see elitists putting a wierd gear threshhold on it to. Like ilvl must be 2 billion. Otherwise, don’t even bother logging in. It is that VOA gearscore bullcorn from wrath all over again. And VOA was super easy to. Hardest part was making sure wintergrasp was controlled by your faction.
At the same time, the friendship “gooey saber for your fellow neighbor” mount runs will form, and the demand will be high as heck. So it could take a while to get even a free shot at the gooey saber.
Alot of players are going to just write it off, as, not worth it. Requiring normal just puts so many hoops to getting it now, that the average player on the LFR spectrum and solo and non group creating spectrum, just simply have nothing to do this season of shadowlands.
I am just trying to persuade blizzard to change their minds. And make LFR a way to clear the fated raids. They did word it like this under the achievement for the gooey saber for a long time to. But living without it is not a huge deal either. It is very frustrating though. Alot of people wanted the gooey saber, even before we knew what it looked like. I still remember the gooey saber being the most popular mount in the survey next to the others for the tree and the nerubian and the caterpillar.
Either way, still a shame the way it was worded, when it could have been changed to normal mode only as a requirement for the achievement forever ago.

I remember vividly all the bullcorn in legion. Most groups in my server made it so you had to farm out those legendaries. You could not raid otherwise. Also had to have maxximum artifact power and all that. And legendaries were a pain to get, depending on your luck.
You had to have a specific class spec combo as well. I just never have enjoyed raiding. I do miss it when the options were less convoluted though and simpler. You had normal and heroic mode 10 and 25 man raids. That was all. And when you had all that done. You were done.
It also felt like there was more variety and reskins of the models to back in wrath. Something all player types and skill levels could get for the most part. Definitely does not seem to be the case as much anymore.
Or just run Normal.
Everyone can have it. I don’t know who is spreading this idea that some people can’t have it.

Simple, entitled casuals are spreading the idea around, because they dont want to put in just a lil tinsy bit of extra work and effort, just for a damn mount.

How its it gatekept? Just run Normal mode, minus the fated affix Castle Nathria can probably blown thru in a few hours.
Let’s be honest.
If this mount was a reward for going out and doing 30 pet battles where you had to get specific pet teams to beat these 30 pet battle masters, most folks who don’t do pet battles would be raging right now.
It’d be like the PvE folks who complain they’re forced to do PvP. Remember that? I think it was for the legendary cloak quest or something.
Not everyone likes every type of content.
Put yourselves in others shoes. Because you’d be here complaining too if it wasn’t your preferred play style that granted the reward.
