Blizzard is going to go from one extreme to the other, just like they did with the Anniversary gift. From a 1% drop rate … to a 100% drop rate.
And to think, the whole time people were complaining about the 1% drop rate, no one asked for a 100% drop rate. We don’t mind having a chance … but give us a chance! lol
I can see Ion or whoever is in charge of this decision just throwing up their hands and stomping their feet like a 2 year old and saying "FINE! Just give it to everyone who logs in during S4. BUT WHATEVER YOU DO, DON’T PUT IT IN LFR!!! "
This is literally what Blizzard has become. An annoyed child in the form of a corporation.
Well i mean, under the official confirmation currently on the front page, for shadowlands season 4, launching on the august second, just looked it up. So it is two days away. We are just now being told that it is normal mode only. All this time before this, it was stated just do the raid. Implying to use LFR.
It is pretty much confirmed in that post on the front page, that on august second, normal mode will be required for the slime saber. Again, 5 months ago to have my spirits crushed would have been fine. And yah they could change it back before the second of august. Or maybe even 2 weeks after that. But it seems highly unlikely given how far along production on season 4 has been.
I dunno. Just looking at the facts at what we have currently. It legit was supposed to be on any difficulty. Changing it at the last bloody minute is so frustrating though.
Even now, after reading the description i found, i still do not understand what it means for a raid to be “fated” Other than it dropping higher level loot. It also does appear to have a fated raid finder, with ilvls 265-272. So even more confirmation that the fated raids would also be part of the LFR finder for the slime kitty. If this was changed, and the switch to adding a normal mode only option as part of the achievement description, then yes, people are going to be mad.
And i would be highly surprised if they changed it tommorow. Heck if we ever even get a blue post on this, i would be surprised. Subject to change is still subject to change i guess. Could change tommorow. Could be wednesday. Could be in september. Either way, blizzard needs to communicate, and make up their minds already. Like the actual mind of what the stupid achievement requirements are. Without all this misinformation and second guessing. That is all i am seeing currently.
It’s already been nerfed over the course of their respective patches. All they’re probably doing is a net buff to health so that our higher gear just don’t blow them over. In the end it doesn’t even matter, because the tough part of progression is mechanics, which we’ve already seen. And it’s normal.
They’re gonna topple as fast as they do over in the classic servers.
its gross lol. I can do without it.
They needed to leave it in LFR if it was originally there and not tick off paying customers.
If you make a mistake as a businessman, you eat the cost over annoying your paying base.
This isnt some case where a $100,000 was advertised for $1000 and it cant be done…this is some code, pixels on a screen that has no real cost beyond just writing that code. Its not worth just one more annoyance for players who already think this company is dumpster fillings.
Honestly I could see this having potential, at least for mythic. Cap rewards lower then have higher difficulties just give mounts, different armor appearances, etc.
