You have 2019 if you want a stagnant game, it’s there for you.
All other releases get QoL changes.

Started in TBC. Why do I have 0 plan to go to it?
That is fine they want to relive their memory however you cannot say. “No Changes” with an inaccurate memory and baked in QOL changes.

This is a great post.
The part about retro games never occurred to me in this context, but it’s totally true. A game doesn’t have to be newer to be better.
This is certainly not the case for WoW which, in my opinion, has not improved with time. It’s only a matter of time before retail just admits that what it really wants to be is some sort of coop MOBA where you select a class, a build, and just fight one-off bosses.
The RP is almost entirely gone. Retail is basically just another G.
Classic is has all the elements of a great MMORPG, it’s not just a Zerg rush to the nearest raid instance.

What that is to some may not be that to others. They’re working on a classic plus but that takes dev time. Sod was a litmus test for the changes they want to make/add.
Anniversary is a fresh version of 2019 classic that people have been asking for. The same people that made classic possible in the first place.
Classic with some minor QOL and balance changes is not even remotely close to SoD.

Yes that is exactly my point. People are waiting on classic plus. I personally would keep playing SOD if it wasnt a seasonal server. I dont play MMORPGS for a season and like rerolling every year.

If someone says something as ridiculous as a few QOL and balance changes means it’s comparable to SoD which has Rogue Tanks and Mages that can heal, then there’s no logical reason to elaborate.
It would be like trying to have a meaningful discussion with a moth.

“Changes that make the game more playable” is what the commenter said. That to anyone can mean different things.
The discussion should be "i really like classic fresh, but it would be even more enjoyable if there were balance changes so all classes felt equally viable.
Instead some vague thing about “more enjoyable” and “oh you suggest sod? you’re clueless!” Sod has changes and QOL features. I’m sorry there are too many in sod for your liking. But that is what you should discuss instead of raging at people in a weird condescending way.
I think there’s a difference between SoD and just wanting a few QoL changes.
Like Dual spec is (imho) great for the game. So is instant mail and the LFG tool.
Classic is great, but it’s also outdated in a lot of ways and those minor changes that make the game more enjoyable should be welcomed.
