give em a brake, it is*:
Poorly Tuned
Not Enough Raid Drips
Has Too Many And Too Great A Dependence on Warriors
Levelling is Very Slow
Blizz gave people an inch and now they expect a mile. The changes that were made have largely been within reason. But most are too hardheaded to understand that what they want are not within reason at all. So they’ll be ignored by Blizz anyway.
Except all the stuff people want added slowly made the game less enjoyable. Thats why we re playing a 20 year old game for the second time in 5 years
If you stay off the echo chamber of the forums and reddit, everyone is too busy having fun in game.
I will leave Classic alone until the classes are somewhat balanced and there is shared tagging. Until it has those things I’ll get my nostalgia hit from Chromie Time and unlock some transmogs for my warband.
Well yes and no. In some cases the content was just not very good. Some of it was the gearing system Blizzard was trying to force which also wasn’t good.
Thing is Vanilla is a newer old school tried and true method that works. However, there shouldn’t be anyone out there that shouldn’t be able to recognize its warts and know that lots of people would love to see it in basically its perfect form.
Having played everyone one of these versions and the various expansions several times i gotta give the Devs credit back then. They got way closer with TBC than lots of people will ever give them credit for.
#Some Changes is 100% the future of classic. The game is 20 years old, and while the core of what makes vanilla, vanilla is fantastic there are many things that could use with a sprucing up. Things like item drops, hybrids being forced into healing, etc.
Like I said in another thread, I started out in the first camp but I’m kind of gravitating tot he second now on a few things.
Era and SoD both have “changes” from vs vanilla.
Do you feel their changes are equal in distorting the game?
The second just wants to play in the classic universe but is fine with changes that make the game more enjoyable.
I’m in the 2nd camp myself.
Pretty much, I understand that vanilla wasn’t a perfect game and I’m not purely chasing nostalgia so common sense changes that improve the experience are fine for me.
Retail player vacation home. Xmog by 2025.
We got changes over in retail sunhats, pandas and more.
Keep Classic Classic
Then play something else if you don’t like it.
Give SoD a try then, you might like it.
Neither will Classic if you keep asking for changes.
Never enough warriors!
sod isnt classic , is woltk on 60 cap , the amount of skills/talents from tbc/woltk expansions …breaks the whole “classic”
Its amazing how people will say "i want classic as it was in og vanilla " and also “too many warriors” in the same breath.
Anyone who played 2004 - 2007 will attest that 90% of the population was warrior and priest.
Their promise means nothing.
I want the OG Day/night cycles. The ones that mirrored the realm time.
