You know you are old when

That’s what they want you to think.

Meh, whatever. Not like they ever cared since all they see is old people…hic!

I went to a new candy store that opened near me and asked for one of my favorite childhood candies that I have not had in a couple decades “Candy Cigarettes”. The lady at the counter told me she doesn’t know what those were. I was about to leave and saw a large box of them in the same cigarette themed packages. I said “Oh here they are”, her response was that those are not “candy cigarettes”, they are “candy sticks”. I am like “this is the worst time line”.

This is still a thing today. If a DJ talks over a track on Spotify (happens mostly with electronic, EDM, Techno tracks). I will immediately block it forever.

Emo became popular in the early 2000s. Wikipedia credits bands like My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Hawthorne Heights, The Used, and AFI. Screamo would be included, but I don’t know if it was named as its own genre until later in the decade.

Also, lets not forget electronica, which started with bands like Kraftwerk and Giorgio Moroder in the 70s, but then gained popularity in the 90s with the likes of Daft Punk.

I also found that dubstep was popularized in the 2000s.

Would Oceano - District of Misery be considered Screamo or Death Metal?

Not sure. I don’t really get into either of those genres, and have never heard of District of Mercy. Sisters of Mercy, sure… but not District. lol

It’s definitely Death Metal. He just screams a lot in the song, so I was curious.

DoM is the song title. Oceano is the band name.

When your first MMO was ultima online. :grimacing:

When I hums SNES tunes still…

To count as screamo, I think it has to follow the Emocore ruleset, but instead of singing all melancholy, you just scream a lot. That’s why I don’t care for it. It feels really monotonous to me. Can’t feel the melodies or rhythms, and it has absolutely no subtlety.

Thanks. Now I have Mario Bros World 1-1 in my head. You know the one.

I’m more SMB3 remake from All-stars but that’s a good one too! Also how’s classic? I’m old so I’d like to go back for TBC!

I think I just realized that I look exactly like I did in Summer '06, when I was in “Dire Legion”, (which became “All You Can Eat”), especially since I am 60 again. My highest Classic character is 14, but then I remade her on Retail because I wanted her to have the Night Warrior eyes.

Oh my god I’m sorry I thought you were posting from a Classic Character, the Felheart got me. Sincere apology lol! … the level 60 kind of… yeah. Weird to have 2 games at level cap 60.
