I’ve referred to this so many times, and my wife has never seen it. (She never stays up that late.)

I plan to always stick a flashlight below my face whenever I talk about the future to my daughter.

Susanna Hoffs ranks much higher on the “cuteness” scale than Madonna for 80s Rock chicks. With that being said, Hoffs is the girl that you would “bring home to Mother”, Madonna is the girl that you would never tell your Mother about.

Hoffs aged very gracefully as well, this is just 2 years ago:

And she still has a great voice. As for Madonna, she has not aged that well.

You know you are old when…

You remember being faction locked on your realm.

We bought one in Bremerhaven when my dad was stationed at Hessich-Oldendorf. The VCR cost us $1000 and I think the first movies we got were Airplane, the Towering Inferno and maybe 9 to 5 or Little Darlings…can’t remember. Each one of those cost $50 except the Towering Inferno which was around $80 because it was two tapes.

Also, people talking about 8 tracks. I had the 8 track tapes for each Kiss artist and Earth, Wind and Fire. But, reel to reel was where it was at.

When you know the exact Easter egg that Ready Player One talks about, because you found it yourself when you were a kid playing Atari Adventure.

ETA Oh, and clackers.

I never found that one, but I would have laughed hysterically if they had to win E.T. on hard. I was the only one in my family who could win, and one of the few people in the world who actually liked the game. X-Play gave it a 0.

E.T. was not for me. LOL! I was a master at Breakout though. I might have gotten the Joust key though. I about died laughing when I hit the WoW version of Joust in Cataclysm.

Only the old nerds in the raid were laughing at the ROUSes (Rodents of Unusual Size) in the Nathria sewer. The kids were like “what?”

The cartridges I most vividly remember playing for hours on the Atari 2600 were Breakout, Adventure, and Space Invaders.
