Seriously, if you look at the forums and reddit you will think this game is dying, or dead already. But i have been playing on Pagle-Alliance for 42 hours according to my /played, and it has gone by FAST. I never really got this far into the game and i am LOVING it. The community in the /lfg general chat is funny as hell, and everyone actually playing the game instead of looking at forums about it is having fun it seems. Just a thought!

Ive literally never seen a bot in my 41 hours of playtime. Granted who does battlegrounds? i think ive played a total of 10 BG’s but never saw a bot.
He means at level 80. People buy the lvl80 boost then setup their bot in battlegrounds. It was especially bad the last couple months. The recent banwave helped and I’ve had some games with 0 bots but they are still there and creeping up again.

I’m convinced many of the doomsayers don’t play the game and just like farming clicks on the forums. Because many of the things they like to complain about, aren’t actually happening if you play the game for a while.

Reddit and YouTube can be great for finding some helpful information or… amazing for being an echo chamber of disinformation and toxicity. It is really all on what you look for imo.
Unhappy and angry people tend to want others to be unhappy or angry with them. If they can’t have that they will usually settle for angry at them. Regardless they like to siphon off other people’s time and energy.
I prefer to do things I enjoy, minimize things I don’t and improve situations where I can. When I see incorrect information I try to put out correct info or ask for more information to get the answer. If I run into one of these truly unbearable people I don’t engage and if they for whatever reason do persist in trying to bring me down I put them on ignore.

Very few people will go out of their way to express positive feelings & feedback. I’d be one of those people and I constantly face quite a bit of bashing on here for actually saying thanks to devs.
Not to mention most of people here & on reddit are entitled, because they pay $15/month, which is like an equivalent to one chipotle bowl.
With SoD being the main hype, people of reddit cannot tolerate any negative feedback. If you go on some threads and find “SoD is not that great” comments, those are instantly downvoted to an oblivion.
WoW is a fantastic game with a longevity that no other game has to offer.
We currently have so many options of activities within WoW. Everyone really should be able to find what they want to do.
But some people, around here and on Reddit, believe they have the right to tell others what to enjoy. Cataclysm is a very good example.
Yes, it’s a rather controversial expansion, but if you really deep dive into negative feedback, half of them are subjective and other half wouldn’t even apply to Classic re-release all that much.
Some might say to me, “SOD is not your thing”. And it’s not for me. I’ve tried it. I didn’t like it. But when I say “Cataclysm is not your thing”, then suddenly i’m wrong for even liking it.
I’ve been playing WoW for like 14 years already. At times I hate my friends even showing me this game in the first place, but I ultimately have no regrets as it has managed to bring me so much joy. More than any other game.

Because you threaten their narrative. Any post that gives kudos to Blizz threatens their belief that Blizz messed up Classic, or that no one wanted Cata, or whatever. They attack anything that challenges their point of view.
The issues are there whether you look at the forum or not.
Only a sycophant gives positive feelings/feedback where it is not deserved. Blizzard is a horrible company that doesn’t respect this game or its players. That is perhaps the least offensive way I can type those sentences.
The same can be said about sycophants defending Blizzard and ignoring problems that actually exist. (See the above clowns which also defend Blizzard and don’t even post with a wrath character.) It’s also silly to use the word “doomsayer” when Blizzard has already confirmed wrath is in fact doomed. They literally said they plan to delete it. Can’t get much more “doomed” than that.
I’ve said on more than one occasion that I’m going to quit with cataclysm. Instead of making up things I’ve never said (which you did in the other thread), try referencing something I’ve actually said.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Here is my opinion players that think blizzard is doing a horrible job with classic set too high of expectations for classic and the developers. All the devs did was take old code and update it to function on a updated engine of the game.
Classic has been exactly what i expected it to be. I give credit to blizz for doing the alpha beta and gamma dungeons. The rest is as expected.

That’s objectively false. Blizzard made numerous changes to the old code. Some people like some of the changes, others don’t. But don’t lie and say all they did was update it to function on an undated engine.

Literally all they had to do.
They did a decent job with Classic. Very little changes. They did a worse job with TBC, and it was less successful. They butchered Wrath with changes and it’s a disaster. Just wait and see how bad they screw up Cata.

Well now wait a minute…if we listen to most naysayers Cata was horrible so if they alter it a bunch what is there to really lose, a horrible product being more horrible? I mean I say meddle away.
I definitely don’t think all their ideas have been hits and I certainly think their implementation and communication has been severely lacking at times. As a whole however I have been having fun as a new player to WoW since 2020.
Well, for someone new to WoW like yourself maybe it’s ok. But for someone who played since Vanilla, it’s sad to see what they’ve done to it.
This’d imply we liked the changes they made to WotLK tho 
Adding 4 tiers of heroics to split the community into and gatekeep? No, that has absolutely nothing to do with the original WotLK. And for what? People run FoS, one of 3 non-titan rune dungeons for their dailies anyway.

That’s fair, I would be open to playing Cataclysm if I thought they’d do good changes to it, but what they’ve done so far has inspired exactly 0 confidence.
