You just had to make Torghast worse

Yea Wild just gave me that useful tip. Hindsight 20/20 I guess.

i don’t know about amazing, but it’s definitely better. and i also ran more than the minimum this week, after at least a month of not touching the place at all.

You can’t even unlock Layer 10 until next week, regardless of your score.

Didn’t full clear every layer, had to AFK for my kids.

Don’t call me a liar just because you timed it better, it’s myopic and ignorant…

So you literally afked and you’re pissed that you got a low score? LMAO

Is reading comprehension not your strong suit? He’s saying time or clear shouldn’t matter.

Time doesn’t matter. Read all the other threads.

The problem is, Blizzard literally removed the whole point of doing Torghast how you prefer…

People already despised the original Torghast, all through alpha, beta and releases making it a chore, people put up with for legendaries and they could play it how they like…

Some people full cleared, some people speed run it, some took their time and killed mobs tactically just to advance…

Now even so if you remove the timer, if you don’t get a certain score you will not progress to the next layer.

That’s what people are trying to say. Now they’ve literally added a “Meta” into Torghast, play a specific way or you won’t progress…

You must now do certain mandatory things regardless your play style to progress is the worst thing they could of done, this isn’t M+, this isn’t progression raiding…Torghast originally was suppose to be a fun “mini game” which equal easy rewards for your legendaries, become OP with anima powers… not anymore.

And once you progress to the layer you should be at (though I assume most will want to hit 12) there is no need to push oneself to go fast anymore.

If you want to show the game you can do the next layer the previous should be trivial. It is probably one of the few sensible systems that exist.

I’m one of those crazy people who enjoyed torghaast before for what it was (a roguelike that let you become magnificiecently broken without upsetting the meta), and to me the changes have been nothing but improvements; if you don’t care about the ratings then you can easily enough just do it the way people have been doing it for months while people like me who enjoy it don’t need to be rushed.

Frankly I wouldn’t mind seeing some aspects of the scoring system added to M+.

While GOGOGO is one approach, you also have a choice to be methodical and pickup bonus objectives instead as noted HERE.

I intentionally AFK’d for 20 min on floor 5 by the broker trying to get the time score to zero to prove a point; the timer is only important if you want to speed-run. If you go for objectives you can ignore the timer completely. Doing a blend of reasonable pace (20-30 min) and objectives (85% completion and 8 to 10 bonuses) seems much easier than either extreme as noted HERE. In that post, I also complained that Torghast seems like a “go fast” thing now, but that’s really not the case as shown in my later post (that I linked first).

Hell, I got a 205 score in one dungeon with a 26 minute time, 92% completion and a pile of objectives just doing it blind with a pug.

This isn’t hard.

TBF, 10 won’t be available until next week.

When you get more buffs you will just blow through it.

You can ignore the timer completely and still 4 star it.

That’s true, but you can see if you’ve met the unlock criteria now or if you still need a 4-gem run. If you have unlocked 10 it only shows “opens in 1 week” but if you hover over the Layer 11 icon it shows “need 4-gem score on Layer 10” and “opens in 2 weeks”. If you have not unlocked 10 then it shows both criteria (4-gem and wait 1 week). That’s likely what the OP meant.

Not saying it’s hard, no one is. Please learn to read. I shouldn’t have to full clear/do bonuses/go fast(people say I don’t have to so good!)

I’ve killed the final boss and cleared, that’s all I should need to worry about.

I’m aware, but when next week comes I won’t be able to join it unless I rerun it I’d rather not waste my time, just gonna drop Torghast, anyways done with this thread. Cheers.

“should” based on what?

They literally don’t. You can fumble through the layers and still get 4 stars easily. I’m amazed that grown adults are actually complaining about this.

Hey blizz I hate this game because I’m bad. I demand you make this game to as low ceiling as how I am so I can complete it.
