You tested this just now ?

I shot Twelve99 an email yesterday and now I’m able to log in with HK Broadband. I’m trying to open the email response I got from them but now MY EMAIL WON’T OPEN for some reason, but I don’t care about that much. I assume they fixed it for us, hopefully the rest of you guys can connect to wow too now.

It seems like everyone using HK BN is fixed, maybe they haven’t gotten round to fixing it for Netvigator yet (I have no idea how they go around doing this).

You can email them at peering@twelve99.net and tell them the exact issue you’re having still.

Im using netvigator (HK) - still cant log in - Emerald dream US server.

Thank you. I shot them an email for Netvigator, hope it works out!

"We connect with Blizzard in Los Angeles, which is the closest location to HK that Blizzard connects to Arelion (AS1299). Other locations are Chicago, Paris, and Amsterdam, so in terms of latency, these locations are farther away. Likely the experience you are having is due to a couple of submarine cable outages in Asia on the Peace and AAE-1 cable systems. This was a major outage and affected several TB of capacity. The Peace cable was repaired yesterday, but AAE-1 is not yet, so our traffic engineering around the cable cuts and congestion on the systems that are still operational is probably causing high latency and timeouts when you try to connect to Blizzard.

Your VPN service is probably using different cable systems and network service providers than Arelion. I am guessing those different paths are still in operation, which why the VPN solution is working for you. Since Peace is now repaired, we will be normalizing a large part our traffic engineering so you will probably soon see some improvements in your performance. Cable cuts are frequent occurrences in Asia and depending upon the cable systems used by networks, some networks are affected more than other."

Here is the reply I got from the people at Twelve99. I also just got a call from HK BN saying they had made some inquiries and asking if my connection was fixed (which it is). Netvigator people you guys might need to call them to try to relay a fix, hopefully it gets fixed for you guys soon.

Still seeing the same problem. Using Netvigator.
Already sent an email to peering@twelve99.net

HKT Broadband here. It’s still not working. They called me to say they are working on it but its taking ages. Cloudflare option works but has a 280ms ping and is pretty unplayable. I tried Exitlag and its working fine with a 170 ping. Can recommend it as a stop-gap solution.

If you live overseas like us over here in Hong Kong trying to connect to blizz in the US there was an internet cable that was cut and recently repaired. So it was completely out of our control.

If you’re not overseas might be something else.

Upvote. This issue has not been resolved. Disconnecting every few minutes.
