I have only received one splinter on my priest. Happened to a guild mate as well. All other characters were able to get two splinters and turn them into a spark.

Have you done anything else besides the weekly quest on your priest? You can only get one splinter from the weeklies; the other must be obtained through catch-up means (raid bosses, dungeon bosses/M+ completions).

I did the weekly quest for one splinter and the PVP quests for the second, but they did not reward the second splinter. All other characters received the second splinter. Also none of the other characters had that strange red text saying that I had already received the weekly spark.

This sounds like the actual bug, as the weeklies are only supposed to award one per week, full stop. That’s why I mentioned that the other must be obtained through catch-up means (which Blizzard officially clarified in a post yesterday).

Splintered Spark of awakening? Bug?

Just want to confirm this with some details. Everyone essentially started Season 4 in catch-up mode. Players were able to get 1 Splintered Spark of Awakening from the weekly quest, whether that’s the weekly “Last Hurrah” quest or the PvP weeklies offered by Malicia. And then you’re able to get another splinter / half-spark from any valid catch-up sources, such as Mythic+, Awakened Raids, and PvP wins. Next week and thereafter, only one Splintered Spark is obtainable every week. And like Sea…

ahhh makes sense. So the bug was getting them and now it’s fixed.
