You have 2 weeks

If you are casual then be casual. Everyone does not have to be 60 for launch. I don’t get why you think it has to be fair across the board for everyone. This is an MMO. It’s not always fair. It doesn’t matter what you think is reasonable.

I was well over that at classic launch, and ranking phase 2…

10 Days

That’s how long it took me to level from 1 - 60 following Leveling Guides and the like. This did include doing Dungeons (at least once), and I tend to overshot the Dungeon Level Range, too because most of the Dungeon XP comes from the Quests. Stocks is only good, if you spam it. Otherwise, it’s much more efficient to do ALL of the Quests including the ones locked behind Quest Chains.

You’d be faster with the xp nerfs in TBC. Thats why I cut it down to 6-7 days. Its a 30% xp nerf for leveling from 20-60.

Leveling is only one aspect of why 2 weeks is too short. We have this rare temporal state of the game with max level still at 60 but with TBC talents, the new races and arena queuing. We wont have time to properly experience what many of the raids are like with shamans + paladins and new talents or the undiscovered meta for pvp. It would also be nice to have a few weeks at least to raid on our new shamans/paladins and get a little gear for leveling to 70.

I still don’t think it even takes that long :woman_shrugging:

EDIT: And, you know I’m casual AF :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I know you are. I think this guy who was trying to talk me into a corner doesn’t realize just how easy its going to be. He thinks we must all play on his level.

This is what you said.

People want to have their new toon ready for the dark portal.

Blizzard said they wanted to give time for people to do exactly that. Then they turned around and gave the shortest pre-patch in the history of the game.

And you say stuff like:

and

Clearly you don’t care.

I don’t think 2 weeks is reasonable for anyone not doing this:

Exactly. And for most, this is too short

You will have at least 2 years of experiencing tbc content with tbc talents.

i think people should consider all elements of things people wanted from prepatch. E.g. raiding Naxx with new viable specs and with both shaman/pallies; pvp with new specs; levelling multiple new toons as draenei or belf; etc. It was exciting and 2 weeks just is not enough time to enjoy something that was fundamentally different than original TBC launch. It’s not just about the speed to get to 60 and be there for June 1 launch.

To be somewhat fair, I like Questing, so I guess it’s just “easy” for me, to do LOL

6-7 days /played in two weeks means nearly 12 hours per day, every day, for 14 days.

Its not. 30% xp nerf. You are speaking for everyone who is not me. YOU don’t have the time to play. That’s not our fault. You can quote me into oblivion. I have no problem with you still leveling in Azeroth while I am 70. You’ll see a ton of us plan to get there as fast as we can. Blizzard doesn’t care either. Why are you even here wasting our time on it.

Honestly, I don’t care about raiding naxx anymore. I don’t care about doing it on my shaman. I just want TBC. The sooner the better.

Considering, the state of the world, I have nothing else better to do :woman_shrugging:

And neither does a lot of people.

my point was simply that others do, hence the angry feedback on the quick launch

All these people freaking out about 2 weeks, if you think 2 weeks was impossible I don’t see how 4 weeks was going to be better for the “I work 8 jobs, have 12 kids and a real life” posters.

That’s not the point. Experiencing the vanilla content with the backbone of TBC is something that only ever existed for an extremely brief amount of time in retail and this is a bit different as well. I’m not saying we should let it ride out for mutliple months or anything, but having it for like a month or a little more is ideal. It gives everyone time to level their new fellas, and everyone else to try out fresh pvp experiences and try out the raids from classic in a new way and possibly gear up those new mains going into the dark portal

It’s 2 weeks with no notice. Many “dads” out there playing could manage 2 weeks but need some notice to plan that life you explained
