That’s basically what it boils down to. Fir me, since my addons are abandoned, it’s literally taking days, but that’s because I have to find new ones I like. My 15 year setup is gone.
Once again, you are spot on. Yes, people are allowed to feel the new UI is different and don’t like it. The OP is wrong in calling those who don’t like the new UI trolls. I don’t like it, but I always find a way to adapt.
Straight default
insulting people is not the answer
Were the add-ons you used like confirmed abandoned projects or something?
Cuz I assumed UI add-ons might need a bit more work due to the uh “stable” launch we got of changes atm
I run so few add-ons that I actually have 0 idea what’s going on with UI add-ons stuff
Yep, sadly. Dominos is gone. AZ Cast Bars hasn’t been touched in 2 years and no word from the creator. Same with my broker bars.
With one hand tied behind your back!
Ah, yea in that case then, I can understand more of the issues with the UI changes
If add-ons were just kinda holding onto life due to the fact we had 0 Ui changes for years and to suddenly lose them in a single patch would suck
Mine took like 5 mins but it looks like crap, but it isn’t Blizzard’s fault tbh, i’m just really lazy.
If I were to put actual effort into it I bet it would look nice because the new UI offers very decent customization and is actually a huge improvement over the old one.
Actually saying Blizzard did something nice is quite the feat for me, typically I only criticize them.
Everyone can setup ui in 5 min. It’s called messed up garbage setup.
It takes a while but it’s not rocket science.
That’s entirely dependent on how much you like the new default UI. It took me two days and several addons to get mine close to how I want it (still not perfect, but it’s the best I can do for now):
What i dont understand is how a few boxes being a little bigger/smaller than they were a few days ago is somehow worse than rampant game stuttering, random dcs, and some battlegrounds literally being unplayable.
Eh it took me about 10 minutes. I now have the same U.I. for every character save my warlock, which is slightly different.
There’s a lot of people that have so much trouble problem solving its funny. For example my father playing classic wrath took him literally 1-2 hours just to set up keybinds it was sad to watch lol
After watching people complain in Trade chat during the first couple days after the patch release, I’ve come to the conclusion that people just simply don’t want to make decisions for themselves anymore. So many complaints about the UI stemmed from people not taking the time to actually look at it and play around with the edit feature. And a lot of the complaints on talents revolved around them being “too complicated” and including “too many choices.” Like, come on people. Don’t you want more control over things like your UI and talent builds? These updates give you both.
I mean it took me 10 minutes to set it up.
Maybe the problem is you think you need to emulate complex UIs to do high level content which you then end up not doing.
I spent more time redoing things that kept resetting their position after I changed zones, then I did doing the initial setup.
Their new UI is buggy.
Took me about 7 min…
I didnt know you need immense skill to click and drag items on your screen…
I tossed paint against a wall once and called it art. I don’t believe some people who claim it took them days to paint a picture.
dude this is a whack setup and would take me 10 minutes also this is elvUI not blizz UI
