Low faction population side PvP server players are the true heroes.
I see nothing useful about the current LFG tool. If anything, it hinders social interaction. My entire chat screen is 4. LFG scrolling constantly with stuff that has nothing to do with the zone(s) I’m in. I would very much prefer local interaction. There are plenty of players in each zone, but nobody says anything, and asking anything in general is pointless since it gets washed away in 15 seconds by the LFG global chat spam.
get rid of the channel if nothing else. and yes, I’d prefer the old wotlk RDF over the “pick your own group” model, but just get rid of this LFG spam.

not that your comment was aimed at me, but as I pointed out a couple posts above, my entire chat screen is going a mile a minute in the LFG chat, a global channel that is locked only to those in the LFG tool. And it’s filled with spam that usually has nothing to do with the zone(s) I’m in. this isn’t a good thing, imo.

No most polls show it is 2.5:1 in favor of RDF. This odd and highly unpopular decision was done due to popular streamers.

You may not like it, but this is peak social activity. That’s what this game is all about.

The social aspects are shared social experiences over time; not so much a single grouping. If you create/join groups often, you may find yourself with the same people from time to time, doing the same content together. This can happen several times over days, weeks or longer, and lead to social bonds.
With Dungeon Finder, while this may still be possible, the likelihood of running into the same people is reduced as the pool is larger, and the ability to group on purpose becomes greatly impacted, as it would often require on or more of the parties to server transfer.
In any case, whether I enjoy the lack of Dungeon Finder or not, I do see how adding cross-realm, automatic group forming and porting can have an impact on the social aspects of Classic.

I don’t know what you mean be being peak social activity. It’s just everyone who is already listed in the LFG tool spamming crap across the chat of EVERYONE in the game, 99.9% have zero interest in what they’re saying.
honestly, I’m cool with it just being a chat channel where ppl BS with each other (like WoW classic was). that, at least, is something relevant. I wouldn’t call global LFG spamming “peak social interaction.” peak spam maybe.
