Just putting up a thought experiment here.
Blizz sends you a bag of all the best-in-slot gear for your class/spec for the remainder of the expansion. They do it to everyone, regardless of how much of the game they played or how far they got into the endgame; from the world-first raiders to the little kid just booting up WoW for the first time. No reason given, no strings attached, just the best gear you’ll ever need for the expansion being given to you.
Gearing up your characters is no longer a concern until the next expansion.
You don’t have to farm anything for gear upgrades.
You are, for all intents and purposes, DONE with gearing and upgrading gear.
EDIT: Some quick clarifications:
- No need to upgrade the gear in the bag. It’s already fully upgraded, or however you want to put it.
- Alts and new characters will have the bag sent to them as well. This is to remove the option to start the gearing process up anew.
So… what would you do after that?
- Would you continue progressing through dungeons, raids and delves?
- Would you try your hand at PvP?
- Would you try to see what older content you could solo?
- Would you do something else not otherwise mentioned?
I’m curious to see what people would do in this situation, if gear and power-progression was rendered a non-factor to the experience of playing this game. Genuinely curious.

t9+ delves, zekvir, do the raids for crests and valor stones, try delves without my pet, grind gear for other characters, work on tradeskills, i am sure i can find things to do.

Farm mounts. Do some pvp. Complete the reputations. Make fun of people who complain about maintanence Level an alt, farm mog.

I’d push even harder than I currently am to get not-bad at the game via M+, high tier delves, and some PvP. I’d feel a little more comfortable spending time on alts though.

A couple of clarifications:
You won’t need to use those for any upgrades, the gear given would already be maxed out. If there’s any other use for the currency, fair enough; but no need to upgrade.
They get the bag full of BiS gear too.
Leveling up new alts is perfectly fair, but the bag of BiS gear arrives for them too.

Mogs, achieves, alts, pets, do those quests sitting there for several expansions… run more alts through.
The same, really. Just more time to do it.

Equip…play for a short bit…get bored as hell and go roll a new alt to run old content again lol.
The reason I have so many locked characters is I evidently prefer NOT being end game god geared for some reason. lol
I think I finally realized that even though I love DF and TWW, I still hate content while its current. Go figure as to why that is, but it seems to be a thing with me.
Id prefer rolling new alts and being low on the totem pole for some reason.
Only care about gear when Im trying to farm more recent old mythic raids.

Level Alts yes!! Go farm tmogs n stuff. Id still do WQ’s n stuff for gold and rep.
Even with free Fully upgraded gear i still would not do

all of the other stuff applies to them too. trades, zekvir runs, raids etc.
the only thing i wouldnt do is m+
because i hate dungeons
Try to get some achievement cosmetics I guess.
Maybe try PvPing as various specs and classes assuming I can get them all in BiS automatically.
Quit cause there is zero point in playing

Play with it ? what I’m gonna do… after a while sure I will try another class.
Seems like a very flamebait question in general as this kinda of wording is usually used in a pretty buzzword context as counter argument.

I’m gonna go ahead and assume we get gear for all classes and specs in the game. I would try end game of many specs I never got to try due to lack of time/motivation to gear them up, do all seasonal content once just to clear it, and then quit until next xpack hoping this gift doesn’t come again.
