Even right here as I type this thread… there is a PHP coding issue. Makes it very difficult for me to see what I am tryping. And we got so many lua errors in the game now too. And on my hunter I keep having a bug to where my action bars will straight up reset…mid combat sometimes and I cannot do anything on that toon. Cannot move foward, or back or side to side, cannot strafe. All of my keys 100% of them are unbound. So then I spend lots of time to bind them again and… then mid combat eveything glitches again and I can no longer move. Just on my level 70 hunter that I am am leveling does this happen, no other toons. But it makes the game legit unplayble when I log in and 100% of every key is unbound and i cant even move using any key at all. And then I bind it all back and it will happen again.
Jus tlike in Wrath classic how my shamy action bars were GLITCHED for THE ENTIRE TIME THAT WRATH OF THE LICH KING CLASSIC WAS UP and I submitted at least one bug repot per day and it never once got fixed… and also… very cool how I cant even see what i am typing here right now. I cannot play that hunter by clicking it. I need to use keybinds on it. And it will sometimes bug mid fight and I will be stuck in place not able to move with keys or with my mouse.
Sumbit a bug report? Ive submitted a few dozen, they do nothing. Game goes down every Tuesday and we all log back in to the exact same bugs and sometimes even more bugs than before… legit cannot play my hunter. In The War Within. Can’t submit tickets, bug reports get ignored so I go here where I am sure I will be told by someone to submit a ticket which I cant, or to submit another bug report. Hunter and only my hunter has this keybind reset problem. And I don’t know why it is only for this one single toon that this happens. It is on my same account all my other toons are that I play the most. So idk why the keybindings on this toon and this toon only reset back to back nonstop. Oh and… I tried to log into that toon to post on it here, but it only pulled a few from my seleetion to show… level 70 hunter does not exist according to you.
Yea I try resets a lot and all it does is reset my keybdings. What I am trying to figure out is why my hunter and only that one specific toon has this problem will no other one does.
In Korracks Revenges shooting on it and it stopped moving and all my keys quit working so I hit /reload and then came back it to find 100% of everything unbound.
Those pop-up errors most of the time comes from when the interface is having its moments, usually because of addons.
Not everything is a bug. You said you’re only experiencing it on a couple of characters. Then there is something on your end, and it isn’t something that isn’t from Blizzard’s end. Let me ask these questions:
Are you using any specifics addons, more closer to those that edit the User Interface such as action bars.
Submitting a bug report doesn’t start a magical fixing process at the drop of a dime, afraid to say.
It prompts the QA team to begin an investigation, the first step of which is reproduction of the issue. If they are unable to do that very first step, they can’t go any further.
So to add a third and likeliest option to your topic, it’s that they literally cannot progress any further with the information you are giving them to work with. That the issue only happens on one specific character really only reinforces the notion that the issue is likely somewhere on your end.
Lua errors are usually from addons. Try disabling all of them and see if you still have the issue. The turn them on one at a time and try to figure out what addon might be causing the issue.
Also look for updates for the addons, if they have been a while since they had a update you might need to pick a different addon.
You are right in that bugs can take a painstakingly long time to be addressed sometimes. They are never ignored exactly, but this is a big game, and ones that are difficult to fix or not-game-breaking can go to the bottom of the priority list which might take months or years to get to.
That said, nothing you’ve described sounds like a bug. Most of that sounds like UI problems, you’d need to do a full UI reset to rule that out. /reload is not a UI reset - a UI reset is deleting all of your addons and their settings, and installing them fresh being careful not to re-use any that might be caused your problem. https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/7549
Some of this could be caused by technical problems with your computer, but I would start with the UI reset and then see what issues you are still having.
Also make sure your running wow as administrator mode in windows. That alone can cause the disappearing keybinds. Go into the wow launcher and change properties to have it always run in admin mode.
If you’re using out of date or improperly coded addons, you’ll get LUA errors. If you’re using an addon that effects action bars or interface, it can be faulty and causing your action bars and keybinds to reset.
After you’ve done a proper UI reset and run a repair and scan and If you’re sure your addons are up to date, then I’d suggest disabling all addons and then enabling them one at a time to see which could possibly be the culprit.
