You don't need flasks or most consumes

If you’re willing to die on the hill of consumes being scarce/expensive, you have mental illness and need to log off from the game.

It just reminds me of an old rant I used to go on about. “Semi-Hardcore”.

You have very average tanks, healers and DPS but expect them to do the same things that the elite guilds do as far as spec, professions and in this case consumables and buffs. In the end it is a lot of trouble to put your team through when it isn’t the reason you are slow or failing encounters.

It just doesn’t occur to people that the top 1% is a team thing. The top 1% DPS has top 1% tanks and healers and together they put up top 1% clear times. They would beat most teams without the buffs and consumes because that isn’t the main thing that lets them do that.

Exactly.
And people forget that Naxx in vanilla was something that was literally a raid only the top 1% of the player base ever even stepped foot in.

If you want to raid like the top 1%, you’re going to have to put in the effort to play like the top 1%.

BS… we were in, what would be considered today as, a dad guild and we cleared naxx before prepatch. Stop believing the fairytales

You also don’t need to post threads or play on anniversary servers yet here you are :expressionless:

The 1% was spread out over 100+ servers back then, making resources far less competitive.

Just look at this old thottbot post, complaining about mats for Frostguard:

absolutely ridiculous. 200g worth of mats for a 40 dps one hand that gets replaced by 50 dps green 1hs in 2 levels.

The mats for Frostguard are:

18x Arcanite Bar
8x Blue Sapphire
8x Azerothian Diamond
4x Essence of Water

That’s what you could buy for 200g back in the day.

They were playing the game on ez mode back then. The game was 99% moronic noobs who were spending multiple months of IRL time just to hit 60. End game farming was far easier and way less competitive.

If you wanted to make it feel like back in the day, they’d increase the layers to like 20.

What YOU want is a deviation from how easy the game was, you want consumes to be artificially harder. Probably because you know you’re not that great at the game and grinding consumes like it’s a part time job makes you feel like you’re special and superior, but like I said, it’s literally only a sign you’re mentally ill.

You all need to grow up, gatekeeping a game for literal children like this.

So you bought one, yes?
One that was within your means, yes?

Some people cant afford one, yes?
Some people still ride the bus, yes?

u could do anything in the game and make more than 5 gold per hour, u could aoe mobs in stockades with no boostees in your party and make more

if u are stupid enough to ride in laps around felwood for an hour at 7pm on a server with 27,000 people on it, ur brain is down to it lasts 5 brain cells at this point, you play objectively the best class in the game for instance farming

well being that I am maining a resto shaman thats not happening

You can make more than 5G/hour just purchasing Silk Cloth for <2S/each, turning the cloth into Heavy Silk Bandages and vendoring the bandages.

Yeah weird how I make 100g/hr as a rogue and he struggles as a mage.

It’s almost a chore for me to make/vendor several hundred bandages per day, but, like, it’s free money. And Nightslayer assuredly has more Silk Cloth posted than Dreamscythe.

you’re also lying

I farm RFD and DE blues and herb. Easy 100g/hr.

Blizzard posted the actual numbers sometime ago. I believe they said 3% of the player base had ever killed a single boss in Naxxramas during vanilla.
So I suppose my 1% number was a bit of a exaggeration. It’s actually only 3% of the WoW population that ever killed any boss in Naxxramas, and probably much less who cleared the whole thing.

In vanilla, of course. I’m sure more people went back and cleared it later in TBC. And of course most of us did the Wrath version of Naxx as it was rebalanced as an entry level 80 raid for that expansion.

But the numbers themselves came from Blizzard, and is one of the reasons they wanted to bring Naxxramas back for Wrath so more people could experience it since so few did in vanilla.

But I suppose it’s easier to call someone a liar rather than accept the literal historical record from Blizzard themselves.

Silk is too expensive for this on Nightslayer

No you didn’t lol

Not sure who asked the OP for their crap take.

no you dont, and no its not.

you can literally make 30g per hour just vendoring the stuff you pick up in SM cath. The silver ALONE nets you 5g in a single full clear. The blues and cloth and green drops will give you another few gold.
