Trust me, you can clear MC and BWL without flasks or most consumes.
I did it every week in Classic in 2019.

You don’t need to parse. No one cares about your parses. You are literally wasting your time and sanity trying to farm gold to parse and then no one is going to care about your effort or accomplishment.
If you are a competitive wow player, in the next few weeks you will be going into a 2million honor grind for r14, otherwise you have no chance of competing.
so you have time to farm 500k honor in a week, 40+ hours, but not the time to farm 500g (<10 hours)
No one on here complaining that the honor grind is out of control

That is a very good point. If you don’t have R14 weapons you won’t parse anyway.
You should focus on that before complaining about consumes.
No one cares about WOW parses anyways, especially Classic Anniversary parses. This isn’t even a competitive game.
You dont need anything. How each person wants to play is up to them. At minimum a game should be designed to reasonably allow players to access resources. For Lotus at least, thats not the case because there’s too few layers or items by porgrammatic design.
You can access resources from the AH.
The players set the prices not Blizzard.
You aren’t entitled to full consumes.
You either farm the gold or you don’t get them.
We figured this out back in 2004. It amazes me it still confuses people in 2025.
Not at a reasonable price. You should be able to access the reosurces directly but can’t because of a cartel, which is a byproduct of bad game design, or at least adaption to its modern implementation.

I raided in vanilla, TBC, and Wrath.
Granted I never did AQ40 or Naxx, but neither did most other raiders.
If we could do MC in vanilla without flasks and full consumes and world buffs, people can definitely do them in 2025.
Or you know… the 500 hours it will take to do the grind pushes consumes even further out of reach without swiping.

Ironic since I’m not the one complaining about the cost of consumables. No one is telling anyone how to play.
The fact is, the literal undisputable fact, if you want to use full consumables for raids, that is your choice and you need to pay the price to buy them. Others can do those same raids without said consumables, and that is their choice.
Complaining that the price of optional consumables is too high and therefor demanding blizzard cater to you by lowering their costs (which are set by players, not blizzard) isn’t going to help when the simple and easy solution is to just stop using so many consumables for the easy raids.
