i like classic. also like atlas loot/map add-on that lets you mouseover map and see the coords. and auctionator/auctioneer cause it makes auction house easier to navigate and healbot, cause i have a gimped hand it makes it so i can heal people better but isnt automated

such extreme views… all or none… so either you use all addons and let the addons play for you, or you are a true vanilla lover and play with 0 addons? No room in between?

I’m pretty sure when I played back then almost everyone I played with had addons of some sort. Bartender, Damage Meter, Gatherer, Auctioneer… maybe just let people play how they want?

You don’t get to decide whether someone else likes something or not. You don’t get to judge the, oh, the authenticity of someone else’s love for the game. You can only make those decisions and judgments for yourself.

Probably very accurate it seems to be a dog with a bone with many of them. They just can’t help themselves. Welp I will pray for their mental health as I load up whatever dayem add ons I feel like it on launch day =D

Addons were in classic. No one could do ZG without AT LEAST one person having addons for the decursing or dispelling. Even if everyone else didn’t have addons, one person did and sometimes it was the raid leader.

If you think addons didn’t exist, you clearly didn’t play vanilla. Otherwise provide proof addons didn’t exist or were allowed.

You can’t change history. People have screenshots of vanilla to confirm addons existed and were allowed.

This is interesting, actually. I wonder how many people, if any, would stop playing if for some reason addons were banned.

To be perfectly frank, I probably would quit, since Blizzard has given us the freedom of being able to customize our play experience via addons right from the beginning. I prefer addons to having QOL features built into the base UI because then each of us can choose how we play-- and that includes running with only the base UI and no addons at all.
