Actually I am curious about what they’re going to do when WOTLK is over. I’m fairly certain more people are playing classic than retail based on parse data. They know they cannot lose that audience since it’s paying for retails development.
Not really. Nobody outside of wow players really talk about wow anymore.

Hmm quickly looking into it more and it seems to be a PvX game that has no PvP or PvE servers it’s just always both on and this is how they explain it.
We’re very clear with our objective and philosophy on the game and we understand that they may not appeal to everybody. But you know it is an important reciprocal relationship between the content that’s related to PvE and the content that’s related to PvP and they feed off of each other. They’re catalysts for change: Their progression, their development. It’s things that people can value when they see something earned and they see something lost. That elicits an emotional response from the player: That they’ve invested time in to either succeed or fail; and PvP allows for that element to be introduced into gameplay. And we’re very clear that is our objective: That risk versus reward relationship, that achievement-based mentality. Not everybody’s going to be a winner and that’s okay
I’ll call it now this is going to be a small population game with a niche player base 6 months after it launches, unless they do what new world realized and make it far more about PvE.

For a few days. It’s back to feature creep now.
Doesn’t matter if it’s empty.
A PvX game with a bounty system as well. I would definitely review the content of the game in depth before making call outs.
True, but WoW has the same problem.

Yes and most games that follow the PVP type build never get anywhere long term, as long as you yourself enjoy it that’s all that matters though.
Blizzard utilizes just about every open space for some form of content.
Latest view on how Jesus Christ would have looked…
I agree. I saw textures like this in FFXIV and they reminded me of 1999 Everquest.

I mean WoW is empty in 90% of the areas and its pvp died mostly. Not sure if you can call 12million to almost 2million a win lol. But I don’t think PvP is going to deter people from playing the game, because it offers community content to a large extent, and has raids, guild functionality even more sand box development of cities. I think it offers a lot in contrast to our current state in WoW.
Yeh but I’m talking about those old white jesus pictures that used to be everywhere in the 90s and early 2000s. Not the realistic depictions of him. My mom had them in her house, and they look like Asmon in this video
As someone else said “south park jesus”

You would be wrong, and in 6 month’s after the game launches we can revist this thread so I can say I told you so.
The way everybody’s getting all excited over whatever game that is he’s reviewing reminded me of this specific part of this specific video.
The population isn’t going to surge to 12 million over Dragonflight my guy.

Ashes of Creation as it is now, is an always on pvp open world game where you can loot players. Vast majority here are not going to play it.

I’m talking about that pvp game, WoW is already top dog so it doesn’t matter how much more it increased it’s going to continue to be #1.
This is accurate. It’ll have a very niche population. History has proven the market for PvP MMO games is incredibly small. Every attempt to make a successful one has failed or been small with an ever shrinking community as people get frustrated. Nobody likes to get looted. Eventually everyone just runs around naked.

This will bring in at least 20 million players.

Indeed, the people who keep thinking any MMO that forces you into PvP is somehow going to be this big epic thing a few months after it launches and the initial honeymoon phase is over are delusional.

Ha, yes, my Nan had them in her house too, one with little children on their knees looking up at him in prayer. It scared me when I was a child, there was something… wrong… with their expressions!
