This issue has only begun to exist since the 11.1 patch on Tuesday.
I have 5 toons and all are working, except for 1: a Priest (gnome), where every time I either manually enter talent points, or import them, save them as their own loadout, etc. and when I go to switch between them, I get the following error:
“You can’t do that yet”
I am not on any cooldowns when switching and I have unequipped all gear. I have tried resetting my User Interface. I have manually entered talents vs importing. Does not make a difference how the talents are input. Still get the error message.
Finally, I have also noticed that the error will appear sporadically just standing still.
To repeat this is not happening on any other toon. I am able to change talents, import new ones, and just stand still without any issues.
I have not seen many topics on this issue so any help is greatly appreciated.

You are not alone. There is another thread about this. This is only happening on my fury warrior, devastation evoker, and destruction warlock. It only happens when the toon is moving, either flying or running, and it is non-stop. Big red “You can’t do that yet” is making me crazy.

Thank you so much for the reply. I’m starting to lose it with this lol as I’m normally able to troubleshoot myself and fix things. But with this I just havent been able to make any sense of it.
Thanks for letting me know there’s another thread about this topic. Would you, or someone, be able to post/link it here please? Would greatly appreciate reading more about this from others where this is happening.

You should create a combat log filter that has everything enabled so you can actually see what it is that you can’t do yet

Right click the combat log tab and click settings

This did not work for me. I selected everything in Combat Log > Message Types. The Combat Log does not show any action when the “you can’t do that yet” message appears.
Unless I am not understanding what this should be doing.

I currently have deleted all old talent profiles and have an incomplete one on at the moment. I’ve been trying all sorts of attempts to see if I could work around the issue. I thought I was close at one point when using the “Starter Build” to then change the parts into the talents I want. Once I saved as a new loadout and it applied the new talents, I would get the error.
What’s interesting is that when switching back to the Starter Build it does not give the error. The Starter Build is the only profile that is clean and does not provide any errors.
