People actively seek out reasons to be offended. You are not allowed to be yourself because no matter what you say or do. There will always be atleast one person capable of finding something offensive.

If just being “yourself” gets you lots of forum and in-game suspensions, your uncivil behavior is the problem. Try to be like someone who has respect for others, and if not, then self-control.

I once got silenced for saying in general that a world boss is “{Inappropriate comment removed}”.

I thought it was a clever joke but clearly it rubbed the masses the wrong way.

I think you fail to see what I am trying to say here. You can simply say something as simple as man, I really hate cats. Then suddenly a cat lover and all their cat loving friends will take offense and report you. Now you are squelched because you shared you dislike for cats. It’s stupid.

Get dc/ed 30 seconds after saying that. Triggered mass report auto silence. Log back on silenced. Make ticket, GM investigates says its upheld and not an error.

I know its blizzards policy to not give evidence or logs for exactly what you were silenced for, but I know that was the line that caused it because its the only thing I said that day in game.

That isn’t what was said, it was decidedly not indicating your regret that they were unable to experience the expansion. Your yell was something else, similar but far less… tactful, I imagine you are not providing it verbatim because you know well that it would not be as well received.

Made another ticket curious to how the process works more on blizzards end.
The 2nd GM told me something spooky.
“If the community deem it offensive it is offensive. Doesn’t matter what you said”

Strange, I only see a single appeal submit from this account. Only one Game Master reviewed your appeal and their response was the following:

An additional review of the action has been completed. We have confirmed our initial findings, and the action will not be reversed or changed.

We understand that you may still have concerns regarding the action, but we must reiterate that it was taken to address a violation of the Terms of Use and End User License Agreement (https://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/legal/), which all players accept before logging into the game.

We understand that these policies may seem harsh, but they are in place to ensure that every player is able to enjoy their time in our games. Thank you for respecting our position.
