Seeing as how you couldn’t talk across factions . . .
Can’t say how Blizzard will regulate things going forward with Classic. Blizzard is pretty unpredictable at this point.

You can still type nasty stuff in chat. When someone reports the person, all that stuff is snap-shotted. Who knows, but in the end, I guarantee my entire life savings that no one will get banned for killing a quest giver.
They were made killable specifically because the designers WANTED people to kill them. The whole point was to be able to goad the other faction into a huge battle by “griefing” their zones. The inconvenience would pile up and it would make those people reach out to guildies or to local defense to muster troops to fight back. That’s the POINT.
Good. Ban griefers.
Not sure if it was mentioned yet, but the best trolls would mount kodos with engineering world shrinkers and stand atop a quest NPC in a town like gadgetzan where guards would KOS. One misclick away from a repair bill.
Or the hunter FD while the pet either kills you, or retaliation does lol.
Sorry dude I got a feeling you need to be on a PVE server.
You can get banned for harassment. Normal PVP isn’t harassment. If you’re worried you’ll get banned for pwning n00bs too well at PVP, go take a break once every hour or so to rest your hands and eyes, stretch, get a glass of water, maybe go for a walk.
Ahh feels like 2005 again. A bunch of scrubs screaming about getting ganked and towns getting took over with the defense being “roll on the carebear servers”.
Sitting ontop of the gadgetzan inn with my mage and hunter friend was good times.
In all honesty it comes down to people should just roll on carebear servers if they cant take the heat. Especially since there are no bgs phase 1. But we know fun police Blizzard will cave because the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Boy howdy do scrubs like to squeak.
Killing NPC quest-givers will rack up dishonorable kills and wreck your honor rating. You’re more likely to get suspended for kiting an NPC around forever than for killing one.
Camping shouldn’t have any rules against it. Why roll on a pvp realm if you’re not up for getting pushed around? We have PVE realms for people that can’t take it.

Sadly yes.
They consider killing NPC’s disruptive gameplay if you are doing it repetitively.
To me it doesn’t make much sense. Why make the NPC’s attackable if killing them more than 5 times is bannable?
Someone asked this already - basically asking if the old policy of “If there’s a PvP solution (like, bring more people to gank the gankers) then it’s ok” still stood and they were told “yes.”
PvP is Player vs Player. Killing non-combat civilians to make people angry is being a terrorist.
Someone needed to corpse camp this thread, but it seems to have respawned after 4 months.
