I have been a casual player for many many years and take my time to lvl and my hunter
just hit 80 a few days ago. Original wrath I really enjoyed tracking and trying to get many
pets and some took a looong looong time it was frustrating at times but not impossible.

Sholazar basin is flooded every hour of every day with bots… most being DKs.

I think my realm just got ride of the last phaze so the traffic is worse but the bots are
constant and apparently it tells them there is a rare around cause as soon as one is seen
they all drop from the sky kill it loot it mount up fly off.

I know nothing will be done, blizzard is about money all else can get bent… guess Im
gonna miss the old rare pet hunting days thanks for letting me vent.

Tip: Change your current pet to the rare spawns name, and watch them drop out of the sky to kill your pet. This may not solve the problem, but it might buy you some time long enough to kill the actual rare spawn.

For whatever reason, you can’t actually use “Loque’Nahak” as a pet name. I think it’s the apostrophe.

Also, many of the rare scanning addons/tools just scan for the model ID instead of a name, so it doesn’t matter what anything is called, just if it has the same character model as the rare.

I have killed that spirit cat in the basin twice now, and one of my friends has a kill himself.

Literally just fly around, layer hop sometimes.

The secret to getting all the hunter pets you want is to transfer to a role-playing realm that doesn’t have cross realm play, and then you can get them all in one day. I have done this multiple times and they will mostly always be up. It’s ridiculously easy. Then, I guess, if you want to you can transfer back to your original realm.

Oh, I’m on the Classic forums, lol. I thought I was on retail forums. Well, I guess my suggestion doesn’t work here…I dunno…

Once for the achi check mark, the other time specifially to just put her back on her respawn timer.

If a hunter wants her, then the hunter got to work for her.

I tamed all four spirit beasts within 24 hours on an extremely populated realm. My advice is to do your rounds early in the AM hours. Otherwise, it will be a total pain in the butt with not just bots, but also other hunters trying to tame them as well.

also join your local achievement discord and offer a bounty. Bam instant spirit beast

Was like that in retail wrath. If it was not a player deliberately killing a spirit beast to annoy hunters, it was the conveyor belt of hunter lined up camping a spot hoping to be the first to tap the mob.

Loque was the hardest to tame. Anyone with Loque as a pet was cool.

Skoll was the next trophy pet in the spirit beast line up followed by Arcturus and the rest.
