I got 5 stars on both wings this week. Nothing else happened.
And certainly a new wing wouldn’t appear “after you get 5 stars” … since, once you get your score, the run is over.

Some of the Upper Reaches maps have unreachable mobs walking on catwalks. I had to restart a layer 4x in a row due to it. It was impossible to get over 70% completion. I have also seen instances where pots were stuck in walls and gates that actually prevented me from hitting 5 stars in a couple of runs.
Once you purchase the “Adamant Vaults” power in the Box of Many Things ( which nobody has, yet, it’s in row 3), it opens a special level after you 5-star.

Who cares if it’s not fun? Some like Torghast, some find it boring and repetitive. You like it, many don’t…has nothing to do w difficulty, it’s been generally easy the whole time.
I had one of these too. There are chains on the catwalks that are SUPPOSED to allow you to climb up and down to reach ALL of the areas. But it seems you can get into a situation where the chains aren’t placed right by the game, and you CANNOT access the entire map.

What was your empowered time/percentage?
I’m really struggling with getting 4 stars. I’m a 225 shadow priest and I’ve done 3 runs. I’ve gotten 3 stars everytime. The second and third times, I went very slowly, made sure I killed absolutely everything. The third run, I made sure to focus on the ‘bonus’ points such as killing two elites within 10 secs etc. I genuinely thought I did well… and I ended with 3 stars.
I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. That run, I got pillager, the puzzle one, the no epic Anima one and a few others. I noticed my empowered time was low so maybe that messed me up.
All I know is this is getting frustrating. I don’t want to keep running this mess when I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong

Yeah there were no clickable objects, ropes, hooks etc. When I run into those situations I scour every accessible wall and inch around the map. Absolutely no way to access the catwalks.
People who have posted saying they’re concerned they cannot 4-star to unlock the next level because of the timer. I’m making this thread to let them know they can ignore the timer, as long as they can style their play to score points in other ways.

It should always be a combination of chains and a “teleporter.” Using all the items given to you, you should have to go up and down a few times … but you should ALWAYS be able to get to every area of the map.
As you and I discovered, there are situations where that’s not true. Once you’ve done a “working” map with the chains and teleporters, it makes more sense.

Still hate it tho, I like going afk during Torghast to chat with ppl on discord or do some stuff between floors.
Timer can still mess you up, had a 3 star run with 97% completion and 29 min run (some afking) with parse being 18-22 mins.
If they hate people afking for cds, why not just let people freeze timer somehow, which stops cooldown progress.
Unfortunately it doesn’t show more details in the tooltip when you hover over the empowered score, it just says “Bonus points gained from actions while Empowered.”
Rather than using it as a power boost, I would pop it when elites (or end-floor bosses) were at 10% health so that they died while I was empowered.
I think the Empowered score is for stuff you “do” while the empowered buff is up, which I think includes killing stuff rather than fighting stuff… but there’s no way to be sure.

Pff, you can get flawless with zero empowerment bonus.
You can afk at the start of each floor, there’s a buff you get that gives a ‘safe zone’. As long as you don’t move, the buff should remain and you can do whatever.
I don’t think you can because that’s exactly what I did, chatting with ppl on start of each floor, was 10 minutes behind parse, and then run after just tryharded, near perfect time.
I play tank though, so another annoyance with timer is that I don’t do as much damage as dps do.
Speed running isn’t worth points apparently.
Someone should tell that to the mythic+ crowd.
This is where it stops for me. People keep saying…
. You can afk for hours and still get 5 stars
. You can ignore bonuses and still get 5 stars
. You can mess up and die and still get 5 stars
. Or the lovely, “I wasnt paying attention at all and I got 5 stars by accident” lol
Something ain’t working. It very well could be me lol. But some people are getting this with zero effort while others keep trying, doing well, but then end up with 3 stars. Something just seems… off… about this.
@Brewa I guess maybe I can’t see the full screenshot on mobile. What was your empowered bonus in general?

I got +21 for Empowered.
And that was:
1st floor - used on end boss at 10%
2nd floor - used on end boss at 10%
4th floor - used on end boss at 10% and on an elite at 10%
5th floor - used it on final boss at 10%
I did some shenanigans on floor 4 so that I snuck around and pulled the floor end boss with empowered, then went and cleaned out the rest of the floor, so I had empowered back up for the final boss on floor 5.
Yeah, I quickly ran through until I got the floor again. It’s this one.
The dark grey bits on the sides have living mobs around for (what I assume is) ambience to make the place look larger, but I’ve combed up and down the floor and I can’t find any grappling hook or path to reach them. When I gave up and left, the game said I managed to miss 26% of the completion rate despite combing up and down the entire walkable area while spamming tab-target to ensure I didn’t miss any vases.

Okay thanks. I didn’t screenshot my last run but I seem to remember only having 6 empowered bonus or something ridiculously low. And I used empowered on bosses and double elites. Must’ve done something wrong regardless I guess.
