You should have never released this at all if this was the state you abandoned the idea at… And you should have moved the mount/rep rewards to another activity…
But anyways, if you didn’t care about how you released this, at the very least you should let us summon all waves together from each round… This activity is awful and pointless besides getting the mount, and it is dreadfully slow.

Move the gong there from Niuzao Temple. Let us ring the gong to spawn all the waves at once.
I haven’t done that event for months due to how god awfully boring it is. It’s nice that it’s easy due to the fact that it has a mount and exclusive cog back pieces that can drop from it. But hot damn if it isn’t like pulling teeth. After the first dozen or so goes, I just couldn’t bear doing it again.
There should be an option to just have the waves spawn at double speed.
I like doing it on my Hunter while watching something on the other screen. Practically finishes its self.
So it’s not pointless then.
Mindless mount collect slop is pointless, yes.

An they should boost the drop rate of the mount. I did it many many times since the release of this expansion and never got the mount only the rep tokens always drop for me. No mount ever.
The drop rate for the mount is extremely low for the tedious that this event is.

Never stepping back into it again. Sorry for everyone still slogging through it.
I do it every week for a delve key. Taking the breaks out of it, or consensing the waves would be fantastic.
Awakening the Machine is like a microcosm of TWW’s launch. Half-baked, a shell of what it was in testing, with a single repeated voice line and no ending (being insta-ported outside while the golem “boss” is still toppling over is sooooo jarring). Oh, and the game pushes you to do it every single week like it’s an enjoyable experience or something.
I didn’t hate it, but yeah it’s a bit slow for my tastes as well. I got the mount months ago and haven’t gone back. Use the mount on a lot of alts too, pretty nice.

I did it once, with a friend. It was a slog and really depends on the class for easy/difficulty.
But a slog. I just avoid it.
It is an annoying event , so I don’t do it. Too much aggravation for a veteran piece i have already out leveled

Sure, boss. Mind letting me in on what, exactly, the two of you are communing about? The only thing this machine does is magically let me open four chests you got laying outside of here.
It’s just a slog. There’s no risk, no stakes and it’s weekly fodder. At least the theater is both varied and actually fun, with more than a singular voice line where even the actor sounds bored.
…That may be because he’s playing as an Earthen, but it could very well be the event.
I’ve done this a few times out of curiosity and boredom, what is the push I’m missing?
