What’s so bad about it or did they abandon? It’s pretty simple really.

It offers no challenge.

There is a mount you can get, so grinding that out can be painful, due to the fact the event is already super boring.

Do they ever explain what THE MACHINE is? Or what it does? Or who these earthen are that immediately die if anything interrupts their spells by any means? How did they survive this long if they die the second a spell is interrupted? Do they live in the machine? What necessary function do the swarms of murderous robots serve in this machine?

Is it the big earthen 3D printer? I thought that was in another part of the Ringing Deeps.

I’ve heard of this, but apparently have never encountered it in the game. I guess I could go find it and give it a try, if there’s a mount tied to it.

Once my rep was maxed with everyone and I had the mount, I saw no reason to keep doing it. It’s hot garbage.

Yeah I got it pretty early on. Now I just run it for coffer keys and/or when it comes up as a worldsoul weekly. I agree that it’s mind-numbingly boring.

I still run it because I’m a game masochist and hope eventually the mount actually drops for me. My wife did it one single time and said that was enough.

I must suck on some of my toons then. I have no trouble with my shammy, but have no chance with my mage.

Awakening the Machine is more fun than Delves. I’d say it’s my favorite cache activity they’ve created, including the Dragonflight ones.

The pacing is appropriate for people who could use the Veteran gear. I don’t think they’ll speed it up for overgeared players because they want Delve keys to take a certain amount of time to obtain.

Ideally they do more with it in the future. Scaling difficulty and rewards, more waves, more enemy types (not all at once, 3-4 types per wave), some randomness.

It felt painfully slow even doing it week 1.

Besides that the least they could do is let us speed up the waves ourselves.

Weird thing about awakening the machine: I don’t hate it.

Turns out slow and trivial is kind of my speed.

it would be great if they buffed the drop chance of the mount to 99.99% i still wouldn’t get it but i’d be happier knowing the percent is higher!
