Yogg-Saron “God of Death”

Yogg-Saron will definitely be back in some form or another.

When you kill him he says this.

“Your fate is sealed. The end of days is finally upon you and ALL who inhabit this miserable little seedling. Uulwi ifis halahs gag erh’ongg w’ssh.”

“Uulwi ifis halahs gag erh’ongg w’ssh”
translates to…
“The shadow of my corpse will choke this land for all eternity.”

I love old gods. Bring 'em on!

The old gods are canonically dead according to the devs.

I doubt they go to the shadowlands when they die, so they won’t be rezzed either.

If they bring yogg back I would honestly be surprised and disappointed. I’m getting sick of recycled villains.

I mean really, kelthuzad for the 3rd time? Come on now.

Fun fact there is a quest in Maw where you free souls and then in doing so a ethereal tentacle pops up… what is this about?

Helya, who also uses tentacles and wants souls.

Yeah, thats all Helya.
(who we will also be fighting for the third time lol)

Yogg pre nerf was the destroyer of guilds

I think Blizz want to wrap that up and do their own thing with new material in some respects. That’s just my guess but your theory or observation makes sense. I think a proper encounter with some old gods in an expansion would of been cool, they did N’zoth dirty.

Except they confirmed he’s dead.

Simple really, the Old gods cannot be FORCED from Azeroth, when a Titan yanked Y’shaarj the Old god from the planet it left a wound which went on to be the well of eternity, no one ever said anything about Azeroth being exploded by an Old god’s death…they’re just too embedded in the planet to be forcibly removed (we “killed” C’thun and Y’ogg by taking out their brains, we didn’t move their bodies we just prevented them from remanifesting). We then killed them permanently in Ny’lotha along with all other Old gods from Azeroth when we blew the place to oblivion in The waking City raid, Old gods like Demons die permanently when killed in their own realm.

Maybe? But my guess is that Hella gained this ability from Yogg…

But didnt Yogg-Saron say that Arthas was going to learn that no King rules forever, as if saying he was going to destroy Arthas or something similar?

Why would the Void, that’s against Death, keep itself linked to the Jailer? Unless the Void is trying to manipulate and plan something with it?

Would it be rude to ask him to stop at Starbucks and bring me coffee? I so need more caffeine.

As far as im aware we didnt. At least theres still some echoes of him in ulduar as recently as legion. Also fun facts, in the cloak questline in bfa where you check how the titan facilities are doing, ulduar is oddly silent.

Sure… that’s what they always say. You believe what they say? Lol

They are only ever going to tell you a half truth or might even lie outright because they want to be able to drop bombs at Cons…

I hope so, he is amazing.

I’ve always felt like Yogg has had influence over Wrathion… He always has a way of dealing with old Gods… like inside knowledge and the Old gods hate each other…

At this point in the story Yogg-Saron is a small fry. He would only qualify as a end of dungeon boss, or maybe a mid raid boss at best. Compared to the jailer, he is as insignificant as a random mortal is to Yogg-Saron.

I disagree, but that’s what make wow so fun…

They can make his model as big as they want, the jailer hasn’t made me upset enough to hate him or love him yet like Yogg. That mouth toad is nuts. It’s sort of why I hate traveling to other dimensions and worlds, the big bosses feel like they have a deeper impact when they are on Azeroth. Even lei-shen felt like more of a dooker.
