Oh, yeah, they probably shouldn’t come back and likely won’t but it’s fun to spitball how they could. Especially seeing as how Blizzard has been bringing lots of stuff back lately, although not really prestige/elite stuff like cm/mt/elite.
I’ve had this theory that they might add back all the old pvp rewards if/when classic dies and they let people port their chars to retail but that’s several layers of Amatox brand tinfoil deep.
They said they wouldn’t, but it is sort of subject to change and would force them to make all the old stuff obtainable again.
All speculation of course, mind you.
Because I opted into avoiding classic because either 1) stuff never carries over or 2) they eventually reimplement everything in one way or another. Hopefully that doesn’t bite me in the tail.
Random but MoP Remix reminded me of something I wanted to ask you but forgot about since you have the most characters out of anybody I know.
What are your thoughts on giving people a ‘journey’ mode when they create a character that would modify the leveling process such as increasing xp requirements, increasing mob damage/hp etc?
I think something like that is long overdue, yeah. Either a sort of hardmode/affixed leveling experience or like reduced exp, I don’t know.
They could even have things like night time that limit target and nameplate range to like 20 yards or something like classic.
Just have some cosmetics/titles for reaching max level on such chars which could be an opt in thing that get put in their own phase and can’t trade or interact or w/e limitations.
These are some very good ideas. I hope they get in the suggestion box. I have often wanted a ‘hardmode’ leveling option. Toggle on/off, maybe some small rewards for doing it once, an achieve, soemthing.
Maybe even the option to back and do the stories again, but much harder. Kinda time walky thingy with max toon.
