AFAIK Guild Banks were created to alleviate the load on individuals having to log over to their alt to pass out items to other members of the guild, and to make it easier for them to manage donation in a way that the guild members can access.

Like the problem you had earlier, you have this belief that reasons can’t be multifaceted. Like that Blizzard is only out for themselves, and that means they can’t also be trying to help players.

AFAIK, Guild banks were implemented as a way for guild to more easily facilitate pooling their resources without relying on a single account to hold those resources.

So they hide their theft by claiming they gave the item to someone that didn’t have permission to withdraw it.

If an item was taken, there better be something made from it.

The point being that you made a specific statement without evidence, to support your claim that Guild Banks are needed. That statement has no support from any Blizzard post about Guild Banks, from their game guide description to the announce description, describing that they were created for the security aspects.

The security aspects were not part of their creation, especially since the logging was mostly broken when they were launched. It was a byproduct of the Guild Bank’s creation.

And none of the arguments for Guild Banks are a need for Blizzard. They are a want for players, a quality of life improvement that wasn’t in Vanilla ever.

Guild Banks are not alts that you send your guild materials to. They are vastly different entities.

What if the guild master kicks everyone and keeps the entire guild bank to himself??? What if the main tank you fed all the loot to dies suddenly setting your guild back months potentially??? What if the guild dies?? What happens to the guild bank then??

The searches yielded multiple results.
