Yeah! Invite all the streamers!

Uhm nope. These are people testing the game we love. Its kinda serious. On top of this we have tipsout submitting reports on stuff that isn’t bugged.

I get that. So, it was a mistake. I can’t hate the streamers that got in, nor do I judge them. Majority of the people who want into beta probably won’t even touch the bug report feature. They just wanna play the beta and gloat.

Im not hating them. I am judging though. I take classic seriously. I love this game. If he is apart of the hype train so be it but stop submitting stupid reports. If they never played vanilla and don’t know if something is a bug they need to research or ask someone who knows. Like tipsout reporting a named npc damage as bugged because he tried to attack it with broken armor. Yet another streamer who never played vanilla. I don’t care if I never get invited. I do care about how this testing goes, however.

Welcome to sarcasm?

Yes, content. That’s correct. That’s the term we use. It is the correct term.

Not really. WoW rarely pulls more than 30k concurrent viewers on Twitch. Its been hovering around 100k since the Beta with a peak of like 200k. Given that this is a HUGE jump in viewership at roughly the same time period that Blizz reported a loss of 3 million players, its kinda a big deal.

Like it or not, Twitch and other platforms are decent indicators of the “health” of a game. A massive jump like this solely for Classic indicates that these are viewers that left WoW long ago and never came back. Classic’s launch might be massive…

It’s not like this guys reports are enough to push for change. They will review the report, and go “The hell is he talking about” and then dismiss it. You can’t stop people from reporting things that they think are a bug.

I want classic to be a success. I want to return to my home. Reports like this aren’t going to effect classic.

200k wqrched but will 200k buy?

Could it not be those same retail WoW players getting ready for classic watching the streamers?

Considering that WoW has never gotten this much viewership and the retail numbers are in significant decline, HIGHLY unlikely.

All speculation regardless. Either one of us could be right.

Sorry, I disagree.

Highly unlikely is not 100%. You said highly unlikely so by your own admission there is a chance.

Correct. I used the terminology of unlikely to be a bit more polite.

If you want to split hairs that much, fine. My true feelings to your question of “Could it not be those same retail WoW players getting ready for classic watching the streamers?” is No. No way, no how.

The numbers are not there. Retail is likely at its lowest MAU numbers in North America of all time. There is also contingent of retail players that have been fairly vocal about being anti-classic, so there is ever fewer possible viewers. If you want to call this nothing but speculation, fine. I don’t care. Not trying to put forth a statisitcal analysis capable of holding up to scrutiny. We will know in a few months what the real numbers for Classic look like.

You can’t prove it anymore than I can. So stop trying to convince me.

I remember one time I trolled this “modern” gamer by making him play Stage 3 in Life Force on the NES. Had quite the colorful vocabulary.

EDIT: With no Konami code.

Obvious is obvious. Gonna tell me what color the sky is next?

Not trying to. I could care less what you are convinced of. I’m more interested in challenging claims that are preposterous for others to see. Its a video game forum, it doesn’t matter how wrong someone is shown to be, they will almost never admit it.

I actually do admit it if you can prove it. I don’t take speculation as fact.
