lol What a good âbugâ.
I guess the beta isnât intended to find bugs but rather just for hype.
Thatâs what I see this as, nothing but a hype machine for an otherwise old game with a niche base. How do we reach out to the younger generation? Streamers!
what a joke i donât even know what else to say at this point
Itâs like they invited the most inept to the most elitists and no one in between to actually test the game during a beta. Most of these âinfluencersâ everyone avoided in Vanilla for being either too toxic or too arrogant.
Hopefully people will see they still are and avoid them again.
Sad these people get to make a living playing games.
He was close to submitting a bug report because he couldnât find quest mobs without a quest add-on.
Streamers = Advertising!
Simply answer.
Back when I was in the 2004 Closed Beta there was no such thing as Streamers. Anyone had an equal Chance.
Who are they advertising to? The majority of people who watch them already play WoW or intended to.
i have seen almost everyone act that way. as if their brain just melts and they have no idea what end is up. even swifty went full turdâ swiftyâŠof all people.
there is NO way that this behavior is legit. its all stunt work/part of advertising. look what its causing, real players to go into a frenzy because of how insane it is and it is insane. dont let it get to you and ignore them. them -suddenly acting like nubs-, is part of the hype and it seems to be working. makes me want to pull my hair out, point at them and say -no! thats wrong. it was like THIS- lol. and then, it makes me want to play MORE. dont fall for it and ignore them.
Have you ever seen a public beta for any games that was for actually finding bugs? Normal players are the worst game testers in the world.
I must be the exception then. During my two beta plays (Legion and BfA) I was constantly reporting any bugs I found. I figured it was as much for my benefit as it was for the game as a whole, since Iâd have to play it once it went liveâŠand lets face it, a game with fewer bugs is a much better experience.
I will say, though, that the streamers Iâve watched have mostly seemed interested in how fast they can level up and how they can prove what great players they are. Iâve not seen one who regularly reported bugs or attempted a variety of activities to see how well they performed. Now, there may very well be people who do that but I doubt they stream. It would probably make for a boring viewing experienceâŠ
Public betas exist mostly for stress test. You need a lot of people to have a normal testing environment in an MMO. Most of the bugs found by common players were probably already found by the internal QA. Actually, sorting through all of the bugs posted by normal players must be a real pain since they donât have access to the bug database and even if they did, 80% of them wouldnât even bother looking up if their bug was already there.
to be honest, streamers like this which never played vanilla or have no clue at all about vanilla should be invited to beta PURELY as PR and should be told so xD so they dont just makes stacks of stacks of false bugs
Itâs hard to know if players are there to test or if they just want early access to fart around. I think most players want in just to fart around.
Hoping a lot more Vanilla players are let in soon where weâll get at least some legitimate testers amongst the flatulent.
Hahahaha, seriously i fell of chair laughing
OMG my eyes !!! This dude must not reach the surface xd
Its like Blizzard are insulting the classic playerbase by letting these kind of streamers get access to beta
Its actually a good idea if you stop and think about it.
- You are building up envy
- You are giving everyone a good idea of all the streamers, so if you donât want to be on their server. You can pretty much follow along to know which server they are choosing and say, âyep not going there, no server crash for meâ
- You can train a bunch of casuals on how to actually level right
I mean there is a lot of benefits. The only cons you have is you alienate your entire player base. Thats about it.
