Yall need to chill in these normal dungeons

so according to you, all the people that play classic like how they retail, are only from retail? and they caused the entire classic community to play aoe style like retail?

in group content there tends to be a competitive mindset. some may not subscribe to it but its difficult to get a full group of people that want to play classic the way classic was played when it was classic. The advancement in addons alone changes the way a game plays and feels. These become required due to the competitive nature and that makes it move faster. Idk. You can laugh if you want not here to debate with you really I find debating boring because people can’t really see my full thought process and I don’t feel like writing the whole thing out nor am I capable of doing so in a manner that is remotely readable.

Why are there so many bad players that need to go super slow in a normal dungeon?

I don’t get it.

This has been around forever.

It’s definitely become a lot more prevalent since the WoW Token, but it’s been a thing as long as I can remember.

Interesting i haven’t really seen it until they started to Introduce AoTC , and never saw it in Vanilla, TBC or Wotlk

Vanilla, TBC and WoTLK it was there, but it wasn’t advertised the same way it is now.

This was also server dependent. Low/Med pop realms, I’m not even sure if they existed. High pop realms definitely had them though, but they weren’t in trade chat advertising it 24/7.

First time I ran across it was in TBC and I only found out about it through one of my Guildies.

Wrath caused the entire WoW community to play AoE style because it made sense. No profound wisdom to extract there. I have no position on whether it was an improvement or not although I personally liked it.

Cata cut back on that a poop ton in heroics, probably more than anyone really wanted tbh.

Just do what I do when I heal. Tell the tank we move at my pace. If they pull to much and die thats there problem. If they want to vote kick me then fine, I have instant queues.
Same thing when I tank, and people complain for me to go faster. If they want to go faster they can tank the mobs they pull.

You can learn in follower dungeon. Thanks!

It wasn’t the mob damage or HP or any of that, that was the cause of Wrath and before dungeons being hard and had to CC. It was threat generation of the tanks. Before Cata Tanks had to work on building threat, and DPS (some times even healers) could pull threat from the tanks. Most tanks had very limited AoE threat gain abilities, so any groups over 5 mobs was really really hard to hold onto. The Cata comes along and Blizzard decided to basically make threat not an issue for tanks and make it so its almost impossible to rip a mob off the tank.

Wrath was full of large group AOE pulls.

Only after tanks were vastly over gearing the heroics.

Like we are now.

Its pointless to compare now and then. Once the threat generation was changed it didnt really matter if you out geared it or not. If the healer can keep the tank up, then even a sub geared tank and pull everything just fine.

I’ve been doing room pulls since TBC, not sure what you’re on about. A tank not tanking is bad, end of story.

Exactly.

So there’s zero reason for anybody to go slowly through these normal dungeons.

as a main healer…i switched back over to my tank…f healing…if this is the new meta they can keep it. I used to main a tank…I am going to be one of the slower ones. not because I cant run these fast but because it absolutely sucks…its too stressful…it makes no sense to even do them as anything but a tank at this point. dps cant even get off whole rotations unless a whole room is pulled and tanks dont give half a fart whats happening in the room with them…this expansion…while so far having really cool looking content, is absolutely terrible to actually play so far. they really, really really, messed up the scaling this time. I cant see it being any better as people gear…its going so fast there will literally be not much of a reason at all to play after i get a few toons to max…i may not even do that…this is absolutely not the game that i love. there is literally no thought involved its just straight up sprint and do rotations…thats it. there is quite literally not a single other thing going on. run as fast as you can, dont look around, dont read, dont enjoy the world…just run…for healers its honestly just freaking awful. it isnt fun, it doesnt make us want to continue to play and for the most part it just makes a lot of us not want to log in. I am done healing in this game after the last few seasons and now this…im literally done. I am gonna finish this tank and just do the absolute largest pulls i can just because…thats really the only thing that looks even remotely interesting at this point…they really, really went the wrong way this time. its just…bad…and not gonna be fun after a week or two. really a shame.

Why do you think you can heal by doing damage as R-druid now? Time to use your skill set and doing more than spamming lifebloom. Hit something too when you can, your attack even does off healing.

Then you don’t remember the threat generation issues tanks use to have. I tanked all the way through Cata, I raid tanked all the raids up through it too. Some tanks had it easier, but one a group grew past 5 or 6 mobs thats when the problems started.

i main a priest…this is my tank…never healed with a druid.
