Ya Know.. Looking Back...A lot Could Have Been Avoided if

Yeah one is terrible and one is amazing. Is that hard to understand? Lmao no point arguing with someone who can’t accept reality.

Newsflash if the covenant abilities weren’t completely unbalanced Blizzard wouldn’t be reworking them lmao.

So why is it good design to pick one aspect of the game and gimp yourself in another aspect of the game? Why is it good design to effectively lock yourself out of a massive portion of the game?

Then they waste tons of dev-time to work on another borrowed power system that nobody asked for, nobody wants, and will ultimately come as a detriment to every other aspect of the game.

That, and friction for covenant swapping were deliberate efforts to tamp down on the toxic min maxing that’s taken root in the game. I don’t think they went far enough, and have no doubt that they’ll eventually backpedal toward it being just another toggle like talents got turned into.

Anything that forces the game back to the mmorpg it used to be, is a positive change. The simplest change they could have made, was to start rubber banding what is “best”, faster than people can actually change. Make chasing those 1 or 2% advantages no longer viable, and people will either settle down on the FOTM rerolls, or wander off to some e-sport game.

hey, I dont disagree
I wish we didnt have these temp and recreating the wheel every expansion
I would prefer and new talent row each expansion, 100%

For the enjoyment of that class/covenant.

new flash the coventant abilities sim with a few % of eachother, your throwing a fit about not being able to play your class.

not more, nothing less

I dont understand what you are trying to get at. What people are saying is that they want to do what they want to do. But they are hindered in one aspect or another of it, by having to be locked into a choice.

Look at it this way. Being a Necrolord would have much greater appeal, if it didnt mean missing out on condemn. So if a warrior, raided with a guild and needed the execute, they could pick condemn. But if they wanted to run M+ and buff the party they could use the necrolord ability. And then Arena on the weekends and go back to condemn.

BUT because they wanted to use the Necrolord Tmog, and aesthetic, they wouldnt have to sacrifice their Raid and PvP to do so.

Have you tried noxxic? I hear its nearly as good as icyveins.

Here is what I think happened.

Legion and artifact weapons is 1000% better than the systems since then

They thought they did a good thing then and keep trying to remake it, but keeps falling short

knowing what I know now, they should have kept artifact weapons

being able to switch weapons to switch roles and playstyles makes a million times more sense

remember there was no cooldown or penalty for changing your artifact weapon

LOL your replies are actually getting hard for me to read. Imagine being so blatantly wrong and still thinking you’re correct. Must be nice

How? How is it at all enjoyable for a choice to decimate participation in another aspect of the game?

again, if you look at the actual numbers they arent that far behind. the problem is people want their own numbers to look good and giving others crit cant be calculated.

again then they can do and play what they want, because that 1% difference isnt game breaking for anyone on these forums

Again. The statistics show clearly and with no room for argument that the class ability was the ultimate deciding factor in covenant choice. This is due to the player power associated with it.

Still talking without a clue, I see.

like how people have cookie cuttered builds since BC?

how blizzard had to remove an entire spec because they hated having multiple classes FotM specs?

You make a class decision because you like it yeah? Some have multiple role options, some have better MT some are better in ST. As SL changes and we get access to more legendaries and the expansion of the SB tree this will change.

Now you replace class with covenant. You choose it for the one you like and work through whatever benefits/faults it has because you enjoy it.

arent you the one that was whining about not getting invites but all your logs are grey?

Just re-quoting this because this seems like what ought to have been the most common sense solution given the current state of the game.

i love how their all whining but then even the game devs themselves are playing what the forums have labeled “sub optimal” covenants and still clearing mythic raids

its almost like they need an excuse :joy:
