So, they separated xpon and xpoff bg queues, and now if you have xpoff BG queues simply no longer pop. At least at 119 they don’t, not sure about the other popular brackets.
My question is, if you have xpoff are you only grouped with other players who have xpoff?
If not, how is that fair? It’s ok to do higher dps in dungeons, but not BGs?
It is absolutely NOT fair.
In fact, an exp: off can’t even queue for Bg’s with an exp: on friend anymore.
Exp: off players have been moved to second rate citizen status.
It’s extremely disheartening.
Exp: off players don’t even get a queue timer.
Don’t know if it’s because no one is queuing at all, or if it’s broken on top of everything else.
I’m not thinking he’s talking about npcs. I believe he is referring to dps being unequal among players in duns/raids due to gear and relating it to BG gearing.
I remember a few years ago I made a twink Hunter and I queued up for dungeons. I would kill things in an instant and needed nobody else. I just ran through the dungeon. The response I got was usually split, with some people praising the fact that the dungeon would be done quickly, but I definitely had some people actually get pissed off and leave the dungeon saying that my dps was too high and basically they were useless.
I think the OP makes a good point. If you’re a PvEer and enjoy the PvE experience, then wouldn’t a twink make things less fun? The whole entire issue is with people LEVELING. Blizzard has to cater to people leveling and not people that want to sit back and enjoy the content at the current level. They have to appease people with crappy gear because they don’t want to get good gear… they want to keep leveling up. How can this possibly be good for WoW as a whole? I really think Blizzard should stop catering to levelers and start encouraging people to stay at certain levels for a while and make it fun to hunt for an obtain twink gear.
The brackets were split specifically because levelers want to sit back and enjoy the content at the current level. There are more efficient ways to gain experience than potential chain losses in battlegrounds. We do it because it’s fun and we don’t want to wait until level 120 to start having fun.
I still for the life of me can’t figure out why twinks get so much hate. Yes, I’ve read everything and I think it’s so utterly ridiculous and can’t wrap my mind around it. I’m really tired of seeing all these threads of lazy people that don’t want to get good gear but yet want to pvp. Are you kidding me? I wish so bad this wasn’t a thing that we were all arguing about.
If that was true, then people should GET THE GEAR. That’s all you have to do. That’s it. But no, people do not want to take the time to get the gear because want to level up and they don’t want to stay at the current level. They want to move on as quickly as possible. If people got the gear then there would not be such an imbalance.
Rather disingenuous. There have been many threads looking for solutions to bring people together. Incentives, ilvl requirement brackets, quite a few things actually.
It makes NO sense to me whatsoever that a PvPer that enjoys PvP would want to enjoy PvP in their stupid leveling gear and not try to get the best gear possible. It shows laziness to me and a total lack of respect for what PvP should be. It should be taken as seriously as PvE. It should be played with the most skill and reverence as we all can muster. I think this is why PvP is not respected by Blizzard the way it should be. It’s thought of as a passive thing to do to get to whatever BS PVE thing they made, but they don’t understand that the best part of the game is pvp.
Those threads don’t get much attention, it seems most don’t want solutions outside of separation/no separation.
It’s way easier to just be angry and fling mud.
Too true. I do wish some kind of compromise could be reached. It’s not up to us though.
I enjoy playing with new players and watching them learn the ropes. I enjoy the competition of matching against old players that everything is second nature to. I want the best of both worlds. I can only hope that they try and figure out a way to stop segregating people and focus on how to bring them together.
Or, instead of expecting the majority of players in pre-cap BG’s to specifically gear for each of the eleven brackets, the precious few who are present to gank in instanced PvP can be inconvenienced.
If you want to spend the bulk of your game time in a bracket with eight unique keybinds, where only three are required to obliterate others, than you can wait longer in queue or organize games. That’s all you have to do. That’s it.
I already addressed this. If that were the case, we’d be leveling in dungeons or questing.
