Oh boy, it definetly wans't a bug, maybe a effect of the changes your short sight devs didn't account for, like the raid bosses mess, but don't call it a bug.

02/14/2018 04:33 PMPosted by AnderanI truly hope people will see this crap for what it is and just STOP making alts.
I stopped mine at around 64. Couldn't take it anymore.
No heritage armor is worth that grind.

Uhh we’ve been able to power level alts with max level toons for literally YEARS but now you call it a bug? BS. Not buying it.

It seems, at least for Stockades, that final completion exp was upped 25% for when stepping into the dungeon directly.
This doesn't even remotely get us back to where we were either before the nerf, or in patches before 7.3.5.
It can be offset, and I know how to to it, but I'm going to need time to work the problem.

02/14/2018 04:29 PMPosted by KorgaraThe high-levels running dungeons for lowbies fix was inevitable, but holy heck the incoming tears... o.o Sated, perhaps, by the dungeon exp buff, which of course people will complain "isn't nearly enough" since Blizz fixed the only "viable" way to level alts.
Thanks for both fixes! Time to level some alts!
WHY was this "inevitable". It has been this way for years and years and years.
And how on earth did someone getting power leveled by a friend in an instance EVER impact you in any way?

Please don't lie to us. You guys are just interested in drawing out the process as long as possible. There was literally nothing wrong with this process for over 12+years before.02/14/2018 04:19 PMPosted by OrnyxAs always, we appreciate your feedback and will continue to keep a close eye on the pacing of the leveling experience in 7.3.5 and beyond.
You say "we appreciate your feedback" but what exactly has been done since 7.3.5 dropped? Everything in Blizzard's power has been to draw out leveling and shoehorn us into questing. Some of us have been there and done that multiple times, if you want to poke at my armory feel free since that's generally the retort on these forums. Outside of some of the cata revamp content, I've been there done that, in some cases multiple times.
Questing is boring (ssdd since Cata), dungeon aren't nearly as rewarding as they should be for time invested, and I'm willing to wager the exp increase is probably on the nominal side as well. If I'm wrong on the last bit, I'll be more than happy to apologize.
People have suggested either an exp boost per alt thats cumulative up to 100% as well as a toggle for said exp for those that want to slow level. People even mentioned upping the exp bonus on heirlooms or adding more pieces to up that bonus. Yet we've heard nothing...

Not buying it Blizzard, you have effectively targeted nerfing XP since your patch was released.
Edit:
I'm going to post a list of suggestions that I've been consolidating that I think would help improve the leveling system:
- finish heirlooms
- reevaluate class design during the leveling experience
- add bonus objectives to old world content
- add class specific dailies
- add a daily XP buff for classes (similar to Monk)
- include old world events that working similarly to the Legion pre-patch
- offer more items in the BG cache
- tweak the trash HP in dungeons a little bit
- offer a daily dungeon objective
- look at 70-80 experience again
- add a vendor for each level bracket that sell level appropriate greens
-Allow quest rewards the ability to upgrade in quality (Rare/Epic)
This list is actually really difficult to maintain, so if you'd like the current list, go below:

02/14/2018 04:42 PMPosted by MybowbrokeLooks like your queuing xp reward was tripled.
It is still not worth it, you spend at least 15-20mins in queue, you then spend up to 30 minutes doing the bloody dungeon itself, and for nothing. 10% Of your level (before XP buffs) - Im getting 48k at level 80 (482k till next level), my queue time is 20mins as a DPS, questing is still only giving 8-10k xp, which takes ~10mins to do a quest because of how slow it is to kill a mob, so I'm still gaining little to nothing from doing this and it has basically gone from what should have taken me a day or so to get to max level if I really pushed, is going to take me over a week or more, and I'll be honest, I have better things to do with my time.
This was also allowing people to bring in new people to the game to help them get geared up and increase the monthly active users. Not everyone wants to spend their time doing this, some want to join their friends who are seasoned veterans in the current content, and being held behind like this is damaging because they see it as too long and in the end, just give up. It's already hard enough to convince friends to pick up the game when random max levels are 1 shotting them while they try to quest (which happens in both sides), granted you are getting rid of it in BfA, but why it's not gone now is beyond me.
I am trying to level on a PVP server, and it's near impossible to do any questing without being killed every 5 mins.

Increase heirloom EXP, and/or give us glove/boot/belt/bracer heirlooms. All you keep doing is ruining things for the people who aren't interested in the slow, tedious, clunky Vanilla experience. The people who want that experience can go and play on those servers when they're released. The rest of us who hate being forced to either grind for days on end, or fork out US$60 (NINETY FIVE DOLLARS in NZ. You're joking. I could buy a 5-course meal for 2 at a high end restaurant with that kind of money!), are not happy at all. If we want to powerlevel, give us the choice to do so. Don't punish us for wanting to play end-game, not waste time getting there.
I love questing and running dungeons. But I absolutely DESPISE levelling. Because it's clunky, broken, unfun, and unrewarding. Nothing screams "this is a !@#$ty experience" more than giving you 1/4 of your end-game toolkit and forcing you to suffer your way up til you actually unlock the entire toolkit, and see the REAL experience that class/spec has to offer. Don't make that last longer than it has to with stupid changes like the ones you've forced on us in 7.3.5, and then again today.

Keep up the good work, Blizzard. I appreciate it.
The game is nothing but end content now. Why slow down anything? Put heirloom attributes back where they were and keep the world and dungeon scaling.
Also goatman, how about you include something like this in your HOTFIXES instead of hoping the community doesn't notice it?

So you guys missed a bug for 13 years that was a well known method of leveling? How is that possible?

Fixing this proves your leveling slow down was NOT simply "aimed at new player leveling"...
Now you really need to buff Heirloom exp bonus for veterans.

PLEASE investigate the 60-80 leveling. It's very slow. Too much slow.
I mean, the whole leveling proccess got slower, but this one is much slower in comparsion to 80+.
I'm not saying that you should make 80+ slower - this would be bad, because it's already slow - I'm saying that lvl 60-80 is very, very slow, and that this range should not be this slow, while the overall leveling from 20-100 could be a tad quickier (this could be easily fixed by increasing the exp given by monster kills/quests completed - the difficulty is cool, but the exp needs to correspond!)

The best part about all of this is it proves these changes had nothing to do with "new players needing a better levelling experience" like we all knew it didn't.
Blizzard just expects players to be as dumb as the people they parade out here to feed us this line of bull every day.

Buff heirloom exp by an insane amount and we can have a deal with the 7.3.5 changes. Heirloom gold sink payoff is not worth it right now. That's the only thing that bothers me.
