XP Debuff in raids

Thing is, it isn’t something Blizzard could just look at, one of the problems Blizzard also faces is people spreading false information about Blizzard, not just here on the forums, but other third party sites as well such as reddit. All it takes is for one thing to be said for the entire thing to be blown up. Especially with people thinking Blizzard doesn’t listen to the player base. All it takes is for one person to say that anywhere on the internet, and it has exploded to where people think it is true.

There is a lot of reasons why the development stop responding to threads, one of the most common reasons, as mentioned by by Ekon:

Blizzard has been told this from all levels of players, MVPs, Community staff, Developers, etc. For at least the decade or more I have been an MVP that is the feedback pass on to Blizz. That they need to communicate more. That players need to feel heard.

The communications strategy and policy are set pretty high up. Right now, they HAVE improved - as hard as that may be to believe. Heh.

We now get a lot more announcements - including on the forums, we get roadmaps, videos, weekly wrap ups, news posts/blogs. We get hotfixes and class changes frequently along with notes on all of it.

That got a lot better.

That does not change the perception though that the feedback is not being immediately heard. Community Managers are the ones who collect the feedback from the various sources. Forums, reddit, social media, discords, streams, youtube, etc. That report goes to the Devs weekly. More often for any focus issues they might want immediate feedback on like a new patch, a possible bug, a new feature they are focusing on.

Devs, don’t post of the forums at all anymore. I know people would love to be able to see a Dev answer them, hear the thoughts on why a class, or feature exists like it does, what the impact of a change might be. They want to be told WHY the answer is “no”, or “not yet”.

They DID sort of try to give players visibility into that with the Community Council idea. That folks could see that year’s council chat, offer ideas, interact with Blizzard staff from a variety of teams. If you look at that forum though you will see Blizz rarely does that. But what is there is interesting to read usually. When it happens.

I don’t see Blizzard changing their communications strategy though. So much abuse happens and it ends up being a waste of Dev time with little gain. They just end up dealing with fallout over it. Frustrating. I want the communication too but I don’t know how to fix it.
