Hey guys...
I'd like to know if these changes to XP needed to level are in fact being pushed to live in 8.1, or are they just nerfed for PTR testing?
This is an important question for my family and I. they have stopped playing... however, were really excited to see these listed on mmo...
I'd like to play with my family again :D
This is not something CS would have any knowledge of. Your best bet would be to post in the PTR forums since your question involves PTR.
We won't know for certain until the official patch notes for 8.1 are released. That said, I'd be surprised if that change didn't make it to the live version. Seems pretty intentional ;)

It’s true that ptr is a test bed, but support would not know if it is a change that will make it to live. Hopefully this will be moved to general or the ptr forum, or you could tweet @WarcraftDevs as well.
The percentge of XP increased varies by level range. If the increase was just to expedite ptr testing, I would imagine they would use percentage across all level ranges rather than expending the effort to adjust it for specific ranges.
