Xal’atath knew Natalie Seline and the Manastorms. Both were trouble for the Kirin Tor, there’s potential backstory since more of Dalaran’s secrets could be exposed.

Pretty sure the other four old Gods did…
Xal is…different from other NPCs we’ve dealt with in the past. She’s arguably one of the best manipulators in the game’s history with her propensity to be morally grey but also opportunistic; throughout the whole of Legion she consistently offered commentary about people or places or actions and it all came off as being extremely different from other NPC’s we came across who were Typically good, evil or banal.
My guess is that during the one expansion we didn’t see her she was methodically putting her ducks in a row.
